Hard crashing PC locks up
hi I confirm that after doing this manipulation I never crash again, I have restarted the game 10 times already
1) ouvrir panneau config nvidia 2)gérer paramètre 3d 3) paramètre de programme et choisir PO2 4) en bas de la liste trouver méthode de présentation et choisir DXGI puis validé 5) dans po2 une fois lancer switch en vulkan 1) open nvidia config panel 2)manage 3d parameter 3) program setting and choose PO2 4) at the bottom of the list find presentation method and choose DXGI then validated 5) in po2 once throw switch in vulkan j'ai crash au moment du switch ( j'avais prévue le coup j'avais désactivé deux coeur ) j'ai fermer le jeu puis relancer sans rien toucher d'autre. tu vois que dans quelque chargement il est a limite de crash mais non tout ce charge correctement ... en jeu j'ai du tapé quelque mob pour arrêté les micro stutter puis plus rien après et jpe jouer normalement . si cela fonctionne pour vous tant mieux moi ca marche ! j'ai le jeux a fond , dlss qualité syncro adaptative , réso dynamitque off I crashed at the time of the switch (I had planned this, I had deactivated two hearts) I closed the game then restarted without touching anything else. you see that in some loading it is at the limit of crash but not everything loads correctly... in game I had to type some mob to stop the micro stutter then nothing after and I play normally. If it works for you, good for me, it works! I have the game on full blast, DLSS adaptive sync quality, dynamitque reso off I've done a lot of loading and still nothing for the moment, everything is holding up! |

REPORT THE GAME ON STEAM
If you are like me and are exhausted of this issue, you can report the game on the Steam store. GGG doesn't appear to be taking this issue seriously, and they do not deserve your hard earned money without at the VERY LEAST communicating to those of us with these problems. Go to the POE2 store page: https://store.steampowered.com/app/2694490/Path_of_Exile_2/ Scroll down to where the right hand panel ends, and click the Flag icon to report the game. (Report the Product) Then add additional information and submit. |

Screw this, i aint about to ruin my system trying to play this, ill wait for a fix. |

Game likes to crash the system when zoning with Win11 24H2 (7800X3D with NVidia 4800Super)
Booting into Linux to sidestep the problem worked so far for me (Mint with debian style steam) Last edited by Cipheragentnine#3438 on Dec 15, 2024, 8:08:20 PM

I am still crashing after days of troubleshooting. i dont know what to do at this point.
I booted up POE1 and that game worked flawlessly. Not sure what the issue is at this point. |

" Man I am sorry to hear that. At least you got good use out of the PSU, although to be honest it'd probably have worked indefinitely (up to the natural lifetime of the PSU as advertised by the manufacturer, obviously) if not for PoE 2. Of course, you didn't check these threads before playing the game. Naturally one doesn't go peruse a bug forum for a game for 12 hours to see if anyone has experienced component failure/damage as a result of a problem with the game. So there's no way you could've known. But I'll say it for like the third or fourth time in this thread - people who are hard crashing just shouldn't run the game anymore until GGG releases a patch and states that the patch is intended to fix the issue. Even then I'm skeptical that it would even work. Apparently they won't even dedicate this issue it's own sticky thread for people to watch let alone make a statement that would publicly acknowledge that it is indeed their game that is bugged. Sure, you'll likely be fine when you hard reset 35 times per day. And then after three days you'll come here and whine when on your 36th daily power button press your PC doesn't turn on anymore. But hard crashing "can't damage your computer parts" so there's nothing to worry about. Obviously you were given an inferior part that can't handle the video game. Or anything, really. And that's why it won't turn on anymore. :) Just saying. |

Same as all the above. 5800x3d and 4090. Computer freezes, hard reboot needed.

" Reported the game on steam. There are people who lost their PCs to this... |
