You'll get most of the active gems pretty early on. I'm level 12 and got pretty much all of them.
Also, in the beginning I was also struggling with bosses before high velocity rounds. I managed to do them by applying envenom passive to the normal crossbow shot.

Similar vibe to what I was thinking of, though I wasn't planning on implementing poison outside of using Gas Grenade with Corrosion to break armour instead.

One thing to note, I don't know if Chaotic Freeze will end up working since it specifically says spells, along with non-Ailment Chaos damage?

Not sure what support to use in it's place, but that's something to keep in mind.

level 10 and only have 2 of them wth? really stuck on this damm multi button play style fingers to damm big lol

Every builds and class struggle, but early 3 sockets setup is good enough to get me through act 1 and 2, I only got the jeweler orb drop deep into act 3 for my 2 skills. Mainly you will utilized poison, while freezing the boss every 10-15 seconds due to internal diminishing returns.

You bet it will be the first thing I'm testing out. Chaotic Freeze, contagion, etc... potentially make it 1 button build

I'm at lvl 20 and ice shards looks fun, maybe better than permafrost.

With it the game also looks like a shooter lol. Firing a machinegun, throwing grenades.

Hi, it's the very first skills, and I like that it's instant shoot instead of channeling, which is usually not that good against bosses.

What supports are you throwing into ice shards? They target ground, not enemies, so not the same as Permafrost.
