Cold Chronomancer Megathread. All content cleared. Leveling guide added. Low-budget build added.
" Making a video now showing what I have, figured that would be the easiest laziest way for me to do it. I have recently switched to 100% mana and no more ES but I switched back to the version of the tree I was running in the video. I probably change my passives around at least once a day to experiment and see how things feel. This version of spark got me to wave 12 of the simulacrum, trying to build it out so that I can actually do the entire thing. When the mobs have 75% more life, life converted to extra energy shield and 95% aliment threshold... things get incredibly difficult. Maybe if I wasn't a scrub I could beat it as is LOL. If I can't instantly freeze then kill the mobs that show up.. I just fall over, it is very unfortunate. |

Alright for anyone else having extreme performance issues with Frost Bolt like I am.. Here is a spark version that is still clearing all content except the simulacrum. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lEmF05AG6UQ&ab_channel=Valqor

Hey everyone, I bought a threaded light and ran some tests.
Threaded Light: Wand: Unfortunately, I couldn’t get the threaded light to work in PoB. Therefore, my results are based solely on in-game performance. While the damage numbers were close, my wand still have better damage. The main difference was in mana cost. For mapping, I found wands to be the clear winner. Mana isn’t a limiting factor in maps for me. I have three jewels with 2% mana on kill and I’m always topped up. The higher damage output from wands makes them the better choice for mapping. Additionally, I noticed a significant improvement in cast speed making wands feel smoother. As Casia pointed out, the +level skills on wands bring additional benefits, like increased AoE and other spell-related advantages. When it comes to bosses, the performance of threaded light and wands felt roughly the same. My take is that threaded light gets weaker the better wand you have. That said, it can still be situationally useful. For example, in an SSF environment, where finding a good wand and mana on kill jewels might be challenging, a well corrupted threaded light could be a solid alternative if you have the spirit for the build. Both threaded light and wands allowed me to clear content with ease, but for mapping, wands had the edge for the quality of life. Overall, I think threaded light has potential, maybe with a 15% corrupt? Personally I don't think the extra 1% will make a big difference, but it’s worth considering. Wands remain my go to for mapping and general performance. Maybe someone can test it further and discover some crazy interaction, but as it stands now, that’s my take on it. So many people come from here; it seems like you have quite a few problems. |
|
yeah, pob doesn't support it. so you have to do it manually.
add the Threaded light to your build. then, double click it. and then hit edit. do the math manually for how much spirit you have. and add this line: x% increased Spell Damage with x as the value you have. hit save. 314 spirit, with 14%? 434% this will of course not automatically update with changes to spirit. |

After maligaro's + morior setup, what would be the next goal to maximize this build even further? I feel like this build might already be maxed out unless we start including chase uniques, right?
Here’s my pob stats for my current setup: https://maxroll.gg/poe2/pob/pq3u30ys Last edited by maccabeus_#5355 on Jan 26, 2025, 4:22:05 PM

Here's my current updated. blasted through a level 80 t15. wasn't especially juiced. but sure felt good.
https://maxroll.gg/poe2/pob/8e3k10yi thoughts: probably swapping back to malice sceptre. my malice scepter is 199 spirit, my rattling is 172. malice will allow heightened curse, or clarity. mana is still tight. neither of my scepters is heavy on mana or mana regen. have those 2 wasted dex nodes now. options: 20% mana regen from various 10% mana regen.. 30% increased ES from the various 15% nodes. 10 int, via 2 travel nodes, towards a jewel slot. I have 2 more decent jewels that could be slotted.. invested into other travel. invocated eff, warding fetish? anyone know the math on 60% reduced curse effect on you? seems like it might actually be decent for the various temp chains, elem weakness, enfeeble maps/trials.. (I also have shackles...) demon stichers. I have these too.. makes me wonder if I could make use of them. sacrifice does not proc recoup of course sadly. |

Why am I losing stats when using controlled metamorphosis jewel?
I'm using this build as best as I can as possible, with minor tweaks using Ingenuity belt and a soul core of zalatl on the chest for the str req. https://maxroll.gg/poe2/planner/6x7q0cm3 I go from 42 str to 32 when I socket the controlled metamorphosis jewel in the passive tree and I go from 180 int to 171 int as well. I get that I will have negative resists but I do not understand where and why I'm losing stats. Any help is appreciated. Last edited by mistermagic87#7274 on Jan 26, 2025, 4:38:41 PM

Need help to see where am I missing so much damage.
My comet in PoB has 650k compared to Monik's 1.5 million :D https://maxroll.gg/poe2/pob/z9uls05b I know my gems are not at max level and quality, i tried to put them in Pob, but still I am missing so much damage from somewhere. |

I really want to fit blink in this build so I got a spirit/elemental Morior Invictus but I feel like I'm giving up too much damage. Currently sitting at 3.1k Mana and 1.7k ES. Hopefully I can find another 5-600 mana somewhere and I think I'd feel good.
