My update: https://poe2.ninja/profile/character/18hwmpcujs779/Nyali-7750/Ehlin

Using a combination from PaintMaster, monik and my own tastes.

@Monik: I tried effigy like you indicated and really noticed a large dps increase over scepter. Note the spirit I have: running CoC + CoF + Blasphemy with Temporal Chains due to the 60 spirit amul and 55 spirit chest. My helmet compensates for the loss of ES, but I'll probably drop blasphemy and get a 1k ES body instead.

Took a lot extra trigger energy in the passives. Most of the time I delete the screen entirely with 1 or 2 casts of frost wall. I notice I don't really need bomb all that much anymore. Only with bosses I do..

As for bosses - those need a lot mana. Deleting screens is easy on the mana due to the 4% mana on kill, but that doesn't work for bosses.

As for personal taste: I really like faster start ES. I don't know how you guys can stomach the slowness there. Getting it below 2s did a lot to my survivability.

edit: oddly Verglas adds the most dmg/dps when slotted into frost wall. Tested it with putting it on CoF/CoC/Bomb.. reading the description I don't "get" why putting it on frost wall itself gives the best result.. but oh well.

This tree seems interesting, i made something similar to compare, https://pobb.in/nnj7GIeRPO3g losing 12% damage, some curse radius, but getting 20% es. Added 40% damage from dynamism into jewel.

If anointing Conservative Casting on test tree, and saving 5 points to grab Exposure effect, and add Stormcharged anoint on default tree, default tree get 15% more damage.

does it matter that people always choose `Skeletal Cleric` for the Soul Offering skill ?

P.S. and why do you choose a rune for the wand that raises cold damage? isn't it better to choose a rune that raises spell damage?

Clerics are the cheapest minions in terms of spirit, and can be used with any other weapon.
Offering was nerfed a lot, so there is no need in using Rattling sceptre with +x to minions anymore (+4 is kinda expensive too).

Increasing lvl of curses via wands is cheaper and a little bit stronger (be it +4 to hypothermia unique wand or just +4 to all spells, which is actually better bc it affects other things).

Another great alternative - Chiming stuff with +6 to all spells. Sigil of Power is very strong option vc bosses/rituals/simulacrum.

Personally, I prefer duration shield just because of scaled duration, so I can comfortably mapping with offering (and now more time freeze duration too).

Extra damage rune is stronger for pure Cold. Several pages ago Paintmaster and Casia mentioned and confirmed 12% extra cold is about 10% more damage. It is very strong for us.

30% increased spell damage is about 7.5% more damage for me right now, so it's weaker.

Just in case, my character is up on poe2.ninja:

I'm not using PoB for now, and don't have any plans to update maxroll this week, so yeah.

Live updates up there.

Passive tree is half-baked. I can't cook well before lvl 95 xD

ah. nightscale. I was trying to figure out why your mana regen was stopping in your video.

This is very glass cannon. not finding that to be a problem?
tried my 1st simulacrum run today. Died once due to bad temporal rift timing where I place myself on top of the monsters.

I think temporal chains on ground would be a better fit as one can aggressively pump passive points on curse effect and area. it's a rough fight though

Eldritch will is a must otherwise you'll get stunlock and frozen to oblivion

I won't deny it being a problem, but it's not like I die often. Actually deaths are rare occasion, but I just started to tap red maps (t11 was my max tier).

My damage is fine, slow is decent (32% temp chains alone), but yeah, it definitely is not ready for >t15 farming. I do miss Frostbolt CC, honestly.

That Trial of Chaos is the 1st after the campaign (I decided to get it done in one go), but it shows just how this build is good there (and I'm just very confident wit Chaos, bc it's basically a CC benchmark which we have the highest grade in), but mapping experience is very different.

I'll work on defense right after I hit a wall with leveling (and get some currency). Probably around 83-85. Should be fine before it.
Can someone with more knowledge help explain to me how you can proc Ice Nova at range without the use of frostbolt like in this example?

the user is using astral projection + spell cascade support gems.

Astral projection for casting it anywhere you want and the spell cascade to cast 2 additional novas on opposite sides from the landing site

THANK YOU - A new tool to experiment with
looks like they have comet in both cast on freeze and cast on crit.

manually casting wall and bombs occasionally.

doesn't look like they have mobility in ice nova, despite the constant casting. a bit odd.

Saw this one on reddit.

technically a stormweaver.
but you know, a good reminder Maligaros is really good. and cutting out all that crit damage, lets you pick up other things.

im confused on the blasph/hypothermia part of the leveling guide.

at 35 do i put hypo inside of blasph or have it seperated and use temporal chains inside blasph? its just a bit confusing and i apologize for the noob question.
