It is absolutely fine during the clearing. Mana pool is gone when uniques spawn.
My energy/comet generation is good enough.

So why does it look like there are fewer Comets? Bc I don't need to spam more walls. Spark does its job. Bc of it, there are just fewer monsters alive. And considering the fact that I have 60% crit chance on comet, Spark has like 35-37%? Energy generation is just not as good for regular monsters in comparison to Frostbolt/Frost Wall.

I mentioned it when I made a comparison between Spark and Frostball several pages ago.

It's true that managone is a problem in Simulacrum, but it's a problem only here.

Not that important, just some QoL during mapping/Simulacrum clear. On bosses, EoW does all the job anyway.

Rattling Sceptre on the main hand is good for Minion Pact support, but for Offering it's not that good. I prefer 23 seconds all the time (I keep my offering up as much as possible). I tried 2 rattling sceptres, but they mess with each others' CD. And the Duration of Soul Offering in the main hand is shorter than a CD of respawn.

If you feel like you need more spirit/mana/regen from the scepter - just go for any sceptre but rattling. Doesn't have to be Omen.

UPD: Swapped CoS-Comet for Blink.
CoC-Comet damage with Conc/Ele focus is almost 1.5kk now (corrupted my Comet for lvl 21). I don't need more.

Ran a couple of Simulacrums. With just Conc/Ele Focus, no impetus or energy retention. There are non managones on normals-rares now. Still have them on bosses, but for a moment. It's 1 shots.

Anyway, I'll stick with it. CoS drained a crapload of mana for sure.

Also vaaled my dream fragments, got damn critical damage out of everything.

Well, I have only 22k explosion with my frostbolt, 15k as projectile.

I cant imagine how to go to 80k. That seems insane. I have same tree as your (mid gear) and same gear also


And here I am stuck at like 6.3k projectile. Consider yourself well-off haha.

edit: swapped out some of my sapphires, couple were SSF and didnt have anything useful other than % mana on kill. Replaced three with +spell damage and +crit chance (swapped two 2% for 1% since they're much cheaper, and with increased mob size passives I haven't noticed a difference). Swapped my +4 cold wand with extra lightning damage for a +3 all spells with 87% crit and 28% cast speed. Now at 8k Frostbolt projectile and crit chance of 50% (vs 38ish before). Frost Wall damage took a bit of a hit, but the crit chance boost makes it worth it. Would love a +4 all spells or a +5 cold but they're out of my price range (with all the mods I'd want).

I have been doing some trading today and did some good deals so I can upgrade my gears

Question 1:

I am curious if Grand Regalia adds more mana than a good chest.

Grand Regalia is like 200ES 35% increase Mana
Good chest is like 1000 ES only but maybe it makes the other souls core better.

Why did you move away from Regalia? I don’t know how the %Mana are calculated

Question 2:

With the expensive version of full cold chrono, how to you break the walls for bosses. I would like to remove snake pit for them

1. Dream Fragment + Ingenuity is better with 1k ES Chest.
Everything else is better with Morior.

You don't need to swap to 1k ES chest untill you have both frags and belt.

2. I didn't need to break the walls at some point anymore. EoW started to do the job of the 1st entire mana pool alone. I just casted more walls on bosses while comets were raining, about 1 per mana pool. This is suboptimal, but whatever. Damage was already kinda crazy.

The optimal way was to use a decent Unset ring with Frost Bomb to guarantee the best result, but I failed to test this every time bc EoW started to go brrr. This approach is good for low-budget stuff tho.

So you freeze time, soul offering conductivity, frost wall and eye of winter?
Could use a 100% rarity ring for easy boss instead of snakeskin ring and good ring against good boss.

Just got the maelstrom flask, it changes everything.
No need for mana regen. Curious how much the chaos damage does.

I got a 243% duration but it is price every 3s so I think there is no changes between 200 and 250%
Just tried with EOW to trigger comet but it needs ambush. I have 49% on EOW and I see 2 comets best.

From the patch notes (going live in < 1 hour):

"Hitting inanimate objects, such as Ice Crystals, Tempest Bell or Vine Arrow plants, can no longer cause your trigger skills to generate energy."

That's a huge nerf.

So less triggers i guess.

Frost Wall still seems fine because it will generate some energy too, but i guess build needs more investment into energy gain especially on low budget.

That is a huge bummer. Againsr boss, most if not all energy comes from the wall.
It is specifically target against frost mage. Not cool. Stormweaver will be even more dominating. I don’t think we can do a build like Stormweaver with chrono.
