Cold Chronomancer Megathread. All content cleared. Leveling guide added. Low-budget build added.
@Monik,
How much dps is good enough to move to Spark build. I am bored with the snake pit ring. |

" I really need to make an F.A.Q. for this kind of stuff... I guess you intend to increase your maximum shield from 2.1k to 4.2k. That would require quite a few passives i'd say. Or did you mean 4.2k with Grim Feast? Unfortunately, Grim Feast doesn't work this way. It has no benefits in terms of thresholds. Long story short, charms are the best defensive layer against stun, chill, and freeze. And no, freeze charm alone won't be enough. The best alternative to 3-charms belt is Dream Fragments, bc it works for 2 charms out of 3 required for comfortable gameplay. Increasing thresholds won't make you immune to CC. It is an absolutely useless investment in terms of opportunity cost. Charms and Dream Fragments will. " " The turning point is to make the spark at least as strong as your current frostbolt explosion dps. valqor#0701 said 40k is enough. For me, it was worse by far than 80k Frostbolt explosion dps I had. When I got ~75k Spark it felt OK in comparison: 33. Full Simulacrum run (lvl 82, Spark, no edit): https://youtu.be/4RyvuRiB_8E ~~~~ Now I have >120k Spark, and it still fails to break the walls a noticeable amount of times. I still think of it as being just OK in terms of damage. QoL is huge tho. |

I have trouble with souls offering.
Very often, in front of the boss. I time freeze then soul offering but the character just raise her arm and the skeleton aggro toward the boss. I keep pressing the button and sometimes it doesn't work at all, sometime only one skeleton is sacked, sometimes both. Even in my hideout, sometimes when I press the soul offering button, the skeleton seems to hear, go in that direction. Maybe I do something wrong |

How does he survive without any energy shield talents? Mana must be like 5k at max? In the latest build

" Soul Offering doesn't have autotarget. You should hover your cursor between skeletons. Soul Offering swap doesn't work well. You should use it after you already swapped the weapon set. ~~~~ The damage numbers I mention are always under most of buffs. Not just Soul Offering, but also Echoing, Dynamism, and Stormcharged. Okay. So, I just completed my first t0 simulacrum. I can not say it was difficult as we can time freeze the screen as soon as we notice the boss healthbar (barely, in that mess this is only indicator for me, so I froze some guy in the mid-jump in the air). But it was stressful for me. I am not the most courageous person.
(numbers without buffs) 1846 hp 4537 mana 0 ES Critical damage modifier: 466% Ingenuity 75% with 2 moderate quality rings 1-2 divs each (with 189, 213 mana and 82 and 87% mana regen each) 4-sockets Morior Invictus with +2% mana cores. Boots, helmet, gloves - manaregen runes. Gloves are usual rares. Total manaregen 578 without arcane surge (I do not even use this support) Melting Maelstrom Mana flask (THE MOST IMPORTANT) Spark 57109 (48.87% crit, total lvl from wand+amulet 25, base 19) Comet in CoC 496077 (total level 27, crit 81%, inspiration, concentrated effect, overcharge(hmm, why?), spell echo) NO blasphemy. Blink with ingenuity support. Arctic armour with Bludgeon, glaciacion and 59% crit chance. That means that white mobs usually will never get to us in melee range due to spark, and rares will trigger rain of the comets from 1-2 hits (usually I see the explosion from the armour and dead mob who got to the melee range). Works fine, to be honest. Ascendancy: Unbound encore instead of Apex of the moment. Yes, it is REALLY risky, but I prefer timefreeze-time freeze-timesnap. EXTRA IMPORTANT NOTE So, how it was. LMB for spark, RMB for frost wall. Spark-wall-spark-wall-spark-manaflask-wall-spark-wall-manaflask This strategy will not work without infinite mana provided by the flask. This works perfectly because the spark is already everywhere, so basically, any walls placement instantly triggers comets. It was non-stop constant comet rain over the screen. No monsters were able to hit me more than once. But I was stressed. Do not like the simulacrum :( Anyway, I need to farm somehow 20+ divs for From Nothing and will totally switch to the path of Monik Last edited by Sairef#3190 on Feb 4, 2025, 3:41:04 AM

" Thank you! You were the one who inspired me with chronomancer :) I am just fall in love with the Blink. Feels soooo good. I just rushed yesterday to two citadels with average time per map 3-4 minutes with blink (I mean usual maps, not citadels, just to get there as fast as possible. Just wanted ingenuity belt so badly). And to fit blink+blastphemy i will need at least 20div sceptre for spirit. So I just decided to run with arctic armour. At least yet. PS. just rewatched your latest video. I spammed the walls much more often, so got more comets to clear mobs. It was my defense layer. Probably, you have too high lvl of comet skill and it really drains your mana. Feels like a small drawback. Like... is it really necessary to get +3 jewel, because even now it feels OK, but spams more comets per mana pool Last edited by Sairef#3190 on Feb 4, 2025, 4:11:43 AM

" Without scepter OH, Ruz's build is decent, but I believe he wastes a lot of passive points on ES, Critchance, and Critdamage. Maligaro is able to save him a lot of points. (and everlasting gaze too) Nova user should use/try Monik passive tree (and kinda itemization but ingenuity +2 breach ring and scepter OH to use blasphemy and grim, it's safer than Ruz, even with 10k es.) ruzik build Last edited by Subo#2822 on Feb 4, 2025, 4:39:30 AM
