If you look up a scientific paper about vinegar and find no mention of Worcestershire Sauce in it, do you dismiss it all the same or can you realize that Worcestershire Sauce contains vinegar?

Oh boy, now we're supposed to read between the lines? I'm just a lowly poe player, kind sir, please don't murder me with sophistry.
I spent my first year of so of playing POE buying points as I needed to get the stash tabs I wanted. Finally, I decided that buying points was the wrong move and bought my first supporter pack. Having bought one, the second was easy and now I have ten. Buying one's first pack will often lead to buying more if for no other reason than to have two show up under one's name in the forums.

If you have never bought a pack, EA may well make buying your first very easy. Other packs will likely follow. I think I need two more to make my rows even!

Just my thought, but I think it's about how we value our entertainment. If the entertainment value of EA is worth the $30 to $480, i.e. if the entertainment you are receiving is worth the price then it's not an unreasonable amount. If the money isn't worth the value of early access the wait until full release when it doesn't have a cost of entry. Think of it similar to a movie. If what I pay for the ticket isn't worth it to me, I don't see it in a theater and wait for it to come to my television. If it's something I really want to see, I pay the theater price. Again, just my thought.
I wish they would just ban people like this. Toxic players that do not need to be here.

That's how I always viewed it too, the packs have so much more value for the money and come with points, so might as well go with them.
If that’s how you feel then just don’t play. Wait until the full release.

Seriously? What has the potential to be one of the greatest ARPGs ever released and what will be genre changing for sure and is also FREE... COMPLETELY FREE TO PLAY.. and you're gonna come on here and throw shade about having to drop $30 to play earlier than all.... open your darn wallet and give GGGs some support man...... sheesh.

Think of it this way... for the longest time in POE1, we had three acts. Then a fourth. Then they removed difficulties and upped it to 10 acts. Free. THAT was free to play. "official" launch or not, the game was live, with leagues, updates, additions, acts being added, systems being tweaked, etc. Launched. Free.

Not anymore. The game won't be free to play until hopefully sometime in 2025 and by then I'd reckon 90% of people that have any interest in POE will have had spent $$ on getting into the EA.

Um... this is wrong. See the Wiki and the corresponding announcements in case you don't believe the Wiki or believe that I misquoted it to make my point.

For the completely free Act IV:

The Awakening supporter packs are supporter packs that were released one week after the Awakening closed Beta test realm went live. Players who purchased a supporter pack were given a key to access the Beta. The supporter packs could be purchased from April 29, 2015 until November 13, 2015.

For the completely free Acts V-X:
"
The Fall of Oriath supporter packs are supporter packs that were released at the same time the Fall of Oriath closed Beta test realm went live. Players who purchased a supporter pack were given a key to access the Beta. The supporter packs could be purchased from June 7, 2017 until November 16, 2017.

It is true that keys were also given out randomly. I was in both betas and while the lifetime spent amounts were probably lower then, so were my purchases... so that probably wasn't the reason I got in.
For Fall of Oriath it might have been related to my translation project, quite a bit of which seems to have made it into PoE.

But anyway... neither Act IV nor V-X were released free for all at the same time.

And "If youre in queue with the rest of us on December 6, you paid to be there."
is also wrong, since free keys are given out (there's a guy here giving away 2 spare keys a few threads away just now), Not sure if GGG will do it this time around, but at least one person is already doing so.
But that much is true: If you're here playing PoE1 or PoE2EA, SOMEONE has paid for you to be there. Because GGG are a company and their business, besides making PoE, is making money.

To be honest i am really surprised why so many people are angry about what the other do with their money. There is no need to play EA now, just wait and play for free. And if you feel like starting now for that 30$ just do it its YOUR choice...
I play PoE for quite some time and i just buy packs whenever i can afford it and like something inside. Its my choice to do that and money to send to the devs as my thanks for great job. Its so simple.

Vote with your wallet, if you like buy, if not wait till full release:)
