" T15 and T16 blighted maps have been fine for me. The right oils and generally one divine per run, sometimes more if we have the juice to pour into it. Beyond that, the difficulty between T17 and T16 is hugely noticeable. To me, T17 is a nice to have for farming, but definately not a necessity. The first T17 I did last season got me wrecked. I learned from that too.. pay more attention to the damned affixes... :) |

T17 is just for the 1% that just grind this game 10+ hr/day, and streamer content for juicing. I could play maybe 1hr/day but hate the slow pace repetitiveness of mapping, so I quit once I hit T5 maps.
This league I loved melee, so it turned me onto this league vs leagues past. I highly dislike the grind now. |

A league is 4 months long. If you have some clue what you are doing you can actually do uber content within a league with an hour of playtime a day. Probably even with half that. That whole 1% talk is more about knowledge than about time. Time becomes a thing if you want to "compete" in the race to wealth during the first week. If you don't care about the economy/wealth aspect it doesn't matter much how long you take.

The only problem(s) I see with T17 maps, are the more multipliers to scarabs/currency/divination cards. The multipliers are too big IMO, and create a needlessly large gap from T16 maps. Don't get me wrong here, there should be a gap, and running more difficult content should always be more rewarding, but again; I feel the gap is needlessly large.
Sometimes, just sometimes, you should really consider adapting to the world, instead of demanding that the world adapts to you.

So, if they decided to change the name of the T17 maps to like - JUICER PRO MAPS or something, would that alleviate your woes? They came out saying this was not for the faint of heart. That they will be much harder, and with that, more rewarding.
They are not necessary. Just more end-game content they added. Sure, they're just maps, but lots of people asked for that sort of thing. In fact, I think they should change the names of the maps - make it another category. Why? Because they're pretty rare drops for one thing. Second, the average player won't be able to complete them. They need to be decently geared and been playing the game a while to complete, for the most part. And changing the name would probably end the crying over the leap of rewards from 16 to 17. |
