T17 once again are ruining this league can GGG just discard t17 concept?

That is blatantly contradictory, not a massive gap would be 10% more rewards at t17, that its about 2x as much means that functionally every hour you spend running t16s is worth as much as half an hour running t17s, that you think that is acceptable when there are only 4 t17 maps and none of them are well suited to strategies that want wide open spaces and only two are well suited to strategies that want narrow hallways with the other two being in the awkward position of not quite narrow enough to make harby, beyond and blight work better and not wide enough to work with legion.
On top of that the whole you basically have to chose whether to farm div cards or everything else instead of div card farming being part of everything else is incredibly annoying and likely contributes to the ridiculous price spike of some items that have often been primarily sourced from div cards. Nimis costs about 2x as much this league than it did in affliction and costs roughly 10x as much as it did back in ancestors, gimping the supply of uber fights and the supply of div cards for it took a build enabling unique from something you could reasonably buy a week after league start if you ran a decent strat to a chase unique that you would you need to drop most of a mageblood on. |

Um... so we are talking like 15-19 on several t16 strategies versus 20-27 t17s on giga invested characters.

I don't particularly enjoy the T17 farming. The whole end game now seems to be farming scarabs and both of the last 2 league mechanics weren't interesting enough to keep playing more than a month or so. I find myself getting bored faster with the T17, I don't have any problems running them. I just find it boring just farming scarabs late game.

" Im not trying to showcase something here. Its a build i had been making, it maps. In that vid i think I have empty gem slots, i don't use a flask, im playing a build that i was brainstorming. I kept going till that character hit T17 and then league over. That is how much I hate those maps. The character clears that t16 with no issues as i said i didn't even run a flask i don't think i have a guard skill socketed . didnt even hit corrupted bood.. but that wasn't the point. I was having a fine time making a build. im one of 0.01% playing what im playing so says PoENinja. It's is not perfect but i was having fun. and TBH most times i don't kill the Boss and ill run right past yellows that will take more than a few seconds.. Risk to reward, why bother they drop crap and can be covered in AN modifiers so why bother. All the wealth you need is by shipping crops ... so really this league is gold farming league and im a real fast gold farmer ... until t17 and then all content became gated behind what i consider a very bad philosophy. It is lazy. You have so many categories of defense and offense. T17 are just taking packs of mobs that are tedious and cloning them all over the map while randomly dismantling builds, this is one area where i have issues because it undoes progress, randomly undoing each category with a brute force kill the player strategy. 1- If i cannot avoid an attack i get hit and the result is a -10% to my resists, ok im fine with it, my skill failed i am suffering a temp debuff to the points i had allocated. 2- If the map slaps that on as a zone wide effect, that is not the same. 3-If to counteract that debuff I need to spend money to make it go away, it's lame(reroll). As I said I believe you should spend cash to make something better not to avoid stepping in shit. Mods to the map can just brick builds, so now you need to engage in a homework assignment ... It is just a waste of my time .... crafting on maps should be to make them better, not to avoid shit. If you consider t17 as a good base... well perhaps .. but still im not into repairing broken maps. Im not into needing to look for ANYTHING on a map that will brick builds. I find the reflect elemental and physical to be stupid. But sorry for the text vomit my point is . That is a fun gold farmer .. I can kill all of the bosses in t-16. Yellows are harder than bosses ... another problem I have. T17 was such a slog I quit immediately. And i don't mean i tried and quit. I mean i put in total of 30 minutes on T17 and quit the league. I was really having a good time developing that build. t17 instant bail ... it's not worth it ... and i mean in life not the game .. the uninspired mind numbing game play. go vacuum the house. shovel the drive way. do your homework.. Equally entertaining activities that actually accomplish something. Games are supposed to be a fun diversion from those things. " The 0.1% on PoE ninja don't use a weird scuffed gem setup or items tho, and those build are able to clear t17 maps. Your build on the other hand lacks the basic essentials to even run juiced red maps or pinnacle content properly without dying 100 times or hitting everything that's not a normal or magic enemy for multiple seconds. Flames and madness. I'm so glad I didn't miss the fun.

The current progression path is more like this: T16s -> Pinnacle Bosses (incl Maven & Uber Elder) -> T17s -> Uber Pinnacle Bosses Meaning, if you cant kill Pinnacles with ease, you shouldnt even be in T17s to begin with. Just because content is available - as in T17s start dropping - doesnt mean you are ready for it. | |
Even moderately juiced t17s are still stronger than uber pinnacles, they tend to be less damage spongy until you start stacking delirium and titanic scarabs but they hit significantly harder and have mechanics that are not nearly as well tuned as uber pinnacles, many of whom lack hard dps checks. The other thing is the absurd variance in t17 boss difficulty, the fortress boss is basically a joke, its a wimpy heist boss buffed to hit a bit harder, sanctuary is stronger than normal lycia with a hard iphase and an annoying minion, zigg and citadel have two utterly awful bosses, between cat having 3 hard iphases and spamming effects that you need to disengage and tank ground effects with nothing to leech off of in order to survive and with citadel the real threat is the laser spam not the bosses.
