Nah bruv, I play ssf exclusively - trade is boring and easy mode. So is copying others builds, that's not even an argument when PoB is a thing. It doesn't take a Harvard graduate to shuffle items, interactions and numbers in a spreadsheet to reach a certain amount of stats to comfortably destroy this games content.

Your video showcases multiple near-death scenarios in a T16 with one damage modifier and no league mechanics as well as a dysfunctional build, lacking even the basics.

Are you trying to showcase that the game is too easy or am I missing something?

What was the point of this video? I don't get it. Running an easy non juiced map, ignoring the league mechanics, ignoring everything else too including the boss. I really don't want to be mean but I really don't get it.

No offense but that build looks viable enough yellow maps. Early red tier maps if I'm generous. You have no business taking that into T17s, let alone T16s.

Just some pointers:
• Your gems aren't max level
• You lack quality on gems
• Your character is level 83
• You don't have all ascendancy points
• Your items are very mediocre
• You don't have any defenses
• Where is your guard skill?
• What is that passive tree?
• Why are you using white flasks?
• You have absolutely no mitigation
• Just 30% Spell Suppression on a Trickster? Lol?
• Not even one mastery on your passive tree?

Seriously, what do you expect?

No surprise that t17 maps are so "cancer" for you on a build with no guard skill, low level gems, 0 quality on gems, random white low level flasks, close to no defensive layer, weird gem setups, missing lab points and a whole lot of more issues.

I still have a distaste in my mouth for t17's. I just cant be bothered to learn the regex or use an external tool to filter out no go map mods when rolling them. So because of that I will eventually enter one that has a zero fun allowed mod. Its just a bit a feels bad that they are so rewarding but miserable at the same time.
It's just a skill issue, your builds are terrible (that goes to everybody not just OP).

At first I didn't like T17s either. Then I got 36 challenges this league and learned that I was just bad at the game. Not much better now, but good enough to spot these donkey builds people are playing with and complaining lmao.

Now I understand that T17s are fine for the amount of power in the game and ease of gaining that power via trade & Faustus.

Stating that good currency can't be made from T16s is just plain ignorant. Again, I felt the same way initially, but Faustus fixed the issue.





I remember GGG talked about the imprtance of making the best strats in the game "fun", and that it is a huge problem if the most rewarding content you can do is unfun or tedious. We all know that T17 maps are probably the most rewarding content right now, depending on your scarabs. So the question is; Is rolling and running T17 maps "fun"?

I'm not a spreadsheet gamer with regexes for everything, so I find rolling T17 maps annoying/tedious as fuck. Not only are they designed around tedious mods, it's also tedious to get rid of those mods through spamming chaos.

I can run T17 maps fine and down the bosses in seconds and I still don't like them very much. But what I dislike the most, is the GIANT reward gap between T16s and T17s. It's too large, and always gives me the "I should be running T17s instead"-feeling every time I run a T16 map.
Sometimes, just sometimes, you should really consider adapting to the world, instead of demanding that the world adapts to you.
The big issue with t17s is not the difficulty, although there is still a problem where the gap in difficulty between fortress and citadel or ziggurat is ludicrous, the biggest issue is that it as people have repeatedly noted has the same issue of squashing diversity that shaper guardian maps did back when they were the only t16s and other maps only went to t15. What is the point of scrying if you should spend only as little time as possible in t16s and do everything you can in t17s because of how much better they are for everything.

That ubers are locked behind grinding t17s does not help and that several t17 mods remain roll past them with chaos because there are maybe two kinds of builds in the game that can do them and a bunch of other mods that tell specific builds to roll past is obnoxious. It fulfills the goal of making t17s chaos orb sinks but it does so by introducing a meta where the goal is to hit as many brick mods that don't apply to your build as possible as well as a few of the giant pack size mods.

Speaking of the giant pack size mods all of them are ridiculous, maven interferes is merely the least ridiculous, it needs to have the same heal cd increases on every cast that actual maven witness has as currently it can very easily make the boss unkillable for builds without incredibly high dps.

Tentacle fiends is mostly just really really annoying, it slows mapping to a crawl forcing you to disengage and wait for the explosions to clear and makes doing limited area mechanics like ritual or ulti suicidal.

Drowning orbs is miserable to deal with and is a generally shitty mechanic given how hard it is to tell that you are getting hit by one in the middle of a pack in a delirious t17.

Volatile cores should not be a thing, there is no reason to introduce a mechanic that requires that you precisely time running away from every rare that you kill to not eat a oneshot, either nerf the damage to something actually reasonable (i.e. comparable with molten orb rare affix at most) or just remove it outright.
