Boat league = Fix trade?!

Gotta love people who say "lots of games have AH", but can't name a single one, and when they do it's from a completely different kind of RPG, like MMOs.

You can love them :P I see it as a turn-off.
Sometimes, just sometimes, you should really consider adapting to the world, instead of demanding that the world adapts to you.
In fairness not all ARPGs factor multiplayer trade into their loot drop algorithms and player acquisition/ progression.

I know its shocking to imagine finding your own loot like you do in most other arpgs, but that's not how PoE1 was desgined. That's why I brought up the manifesto and philosophy.

Well I was not expecting a currency AH to be added to the new league lol

It's not shocking at all. But is it shocking to you that all ARPGs don't have to be the same and do their own thing? I think it's more than OK that one game has active trading. There are coming more and more alternatives - and all of them being somewhat different is a good thing in my mind.

is this asynchronous trading, 2 new ascendancy classes, and all that map auto-farming & shipping stuff only in league or is it coming to standard?

i'm a little confused here.

The two most important things to keep in a trade system, are:
1) You should HAVE to be online/logged in to trade
2) You should physically HAVE to accept the trade

Other than that, I don't really care what they do with trading.

I get this is just your opinion, but it might be helpful to understand your reasoning? I think we have been down the trade discussion road before, but I cannot recall if you ever clarified the details in why you believe these are most important.

Plenty of games have functional AH systems, which include these? If anything PoE and the Trade Manifesto are wildly out of date/touch with the state of gaming and availability of tools. (TFT as an example)

You are dead right, they should just copy the AH model from Diablo 4.

I don't know if you were paying attention just now, but they just announced a functional AH for currency.

Trading isn't as important in D4, nor is the loot balanced around it. You actually find your gear by killing enemies, not paying someone else.
