Are you a fan of the sword Oni-Goroshi? -- 01/10/24: wow, a Blackloak-inspired essay!

Meant to post this a bit ago:

Superfan!

Reading, reviewing and generally supporting my fellow indie authors on FB and probably soon Bsky has kept me really busy but it's nice to stop by here now and then and see a few things.

I am extremely pleased with how that hardcover turned out. I just wish it weren't so expensive for me to get my own printed up and sent to Australia.

Work on 3 has begun but it's quickly turning out to be even more challenging to write than the first two.

...what a surprise.

Huh. My mace dude is now an actual cultist of Chayula. That's kinda wild.

I am super excited for Book 3, re-reading Book 2 right now.

Neat. I didn't figure Gildenhammer was a rereader but...eh, this is me.

Sharing that pic to my page today. Should make a nice break from the snark and the rants.

Oh GH is definitely a re-reader for me.
To qualify as a re-reader, it must have 3 things:

Engaging plot (duh)
Cool characters (see relatable)
Great setting

For my 10,000th post , I felt it apropos to post in one of Charan's threads.
Almost finished Book 2 again, man this is such a good book.

I'm at "only" 5000 posts, but given that the discussion around the "The Goddess Unleashed" recipe was what originally made me engage in the forums, it felt only right to comment here.

I'm still waiting for the books to arrive, but given the fact that they have to travel halfway across the globe, it is to be expected for them to take a while. Then again, they would make for a nice christmas present for myself. Still very much looking forward to getting to read them!

Edit: made some corrections
I make dumb builds, therefore I am.

You will enjoy them, of that I am sure.

Wrapping up the second book tonight.

4? I tell people it's 7! Slacker.

:)

So I am also on bluesky now but I was never any good at twitter either so we will see how that goes. So far its mostly me chatting at my known indie author pals about anything from Stranger of Paradise to TV Shows we wish we'd quit earlier.

My partner, my alpha and omega, known to you lot as Acton, is hard at work on a new piece for Gildenhammer that I occasionally flance at quietly. She is as secretive about her works in progress as I am.

One last thing. A shameless request. If yoi do slash did read my book/s and liked em, please tell anyone you think might also. I am relying on word of mouth most of the time because these just arent the sorts of books you can sell en masse. They will never be a tiktok sensation. But thuley are, in their own way, very good.

Thanks and see yall around. Back to Elden Ring on the pro. Between that, the performance boost for Inquisitor and the insane No Mans Sky pro update, I have no regrets trading up.
