So there's an interesting trend on the social medias for self-pubbed authors to create these little ads for their books in which they print the tropes/main events/key features around the cover of the book and point little squiggly lines from those words to the cover of the book.

I decided to give it a shot.



I was kind of goofing around but the end result actually seems a fairly good representation of the book, so I guess I'll keep it. :)

Damn E, cheers for that. Even with the Kindle version on ridiculous clearance prices, you bought the physical version! That's awesome.

The next one should be out in a week or two. Physically. The digital...dunno. Depends on my cover artist. He's kinda struggling a bit with the brief.

I have an aversion to buying anything digital when a physical copy exists. Same with subscriptions vs. outright purchasing. Probably a pretty grey-beard thing to do at this point.

I see the benefits of both. A book you can dog-ear, and I do so love Dog-Ears, but a digital book I can read *anywhere*. Currently it's my salvation at the gym, but also in bed at 3am if the partner is asleep, or in a doctor's waiting room. On the train. All that. We always have a phone on us (or as much as possible), and I am just Gen X enough to be astounded at the idea of carrying a fucking library in my pocket, ready to be read whenever I have a moment. No bookmark, no weight. Words is words, in any format.

Also I can adjust the font size because let's be honest, none of us have eyes that get *better* over the years.

That all said, I do format carefully for paperback and go to great pains to make my little self-made book look like a 'normal' book.

This was actualy a short but intense challenge because I very rarely try lineart and when I try the lines weight are not so good. I admire anyone doing lineart really.

You REALLY need to get on Cara and update your folio. You are super-talented and your DeviantArt only shows a fairly dated facet of your skills. Get your PoE fanart up there, at the very least.
