maven remains the worst thing in the game

challenges can be gamed. my point is that mechanic comes down to either luck or bypassing it. if you wish to disprove that position, present evidence that cant be staged.

This really isn’t that hard. It just takes practice. Plus you can trivialize it with a sufficiently strong character.

I did it 3x with no beams or deaths for the challenges last league in SSF lol.

There is no luck or bypassing as every final memory game had to be completed succesfully. You have a proof as it is done in my challenges, but Im fairly sure you will not accept this, because you would have to admit you’re wrong.

you have 60s of invulnerability when you enter a map. if you logged out in the final phase, while she was at low life you could stand there to meet the requirements, or near enough that it would be relatively trivial to get the challenge from that point. off the top of my head, im sure there are other ways as well.

sure, it might be possible to manage the memory game without touching the beams 3x in a row. but easy? no luck factor? bullSHIT. i would bet anything you had to try dozens of times with mirror tier builds to manage it. possibly hundreds. i certainly have the impression a few of you have spent enough time playing this game it would cause an existential crisis if it was thought about for any length of time. which is why you would rather lord it over 'lesser' players rather than A) show how 'easy' it is, or B) acknowledge it is bullshit.

i love being wrong. i have always found my own mind the easiest to change. so go ahead. prove me wrong. show that it is more than luck to survive that bullshit, or just bypassing it. but know this; even if you do you will not make it FUN for me or the vast majority of players. i'd be willing to bet you dont have fun with it either... you just have fun looking down on people and this is a convenient way to do it.

the problem when players give feedback is usually they tend to give opinions based on their own experiences and skill levels.

most of the time as players become more skilled, they tend to forget how it's like for weaker players.

a very good example is the memory game. most people who have no problem with memory game will not acknowledge it is a problem.

most people who have a problem with memory game will see it as a huge problem.

i come from the latter group.

its also the same when it comes to the "melee is bad" topic. most players have an issue with melee but the better players are skilled and understand the game better that they see no issue with it much to the chagrin of the others.

i do not know about GGG's direction now.

No you cant afk it on grace period, memory game had to be completed, exploding it was a failure. You have proof from me, and DichotomousThree who did it on SSF. No mirror gear needed. It took me 2 attempts, one to warm up, one to do it, it had no luck involved, and yes, it was fun - in general I kill both Maven and Sirus for fun and I do them on Uber now in Affliction.

my first successful build was melee. and i fall into the camp of not really seeing it as being 'bad'. but i have also never followed builds and never had a billion dps build that would clear mobs off screen for days. well. my exsanguinate elemenetalist came close a couple leagues ago. but every single build i have tossed together, no matter how silly or memey it was would easily clear juiced t16s, usually without even having to look at mods. my current joke build is golem autobombers, and ye, it melts empowered juiced maven backed t16 bosses like they are trash.

edit - you can still game it by having someone else in the fight complete it while you sit safe for a round or two.

Are you choosing to stand where you can only see one panel at a time? You only need to have two sections on-screen to be able to tell exactly where to go.

if the first one happens to be the one offscreen it is VERY easy to get confused where to start since the audio cue can easily be drowned out by everything else going on

If you want something from someone, insulting will not help. I already told you, if completed challenge is not enough for you, if you want me to coach you, thats got a price tag (and I dont record vids, if you want me to start and do ingame things you want - thats not free, you want my time, pay for it in divs).

edit: sure you can pay someone else (altho I was selling) to do it (not in ssf tho) but someone is still doing it, and you wanted proof it is doable, so it is still perfectly valid.
