0.9.10 Information and News

i really hope they do something with the camera/pov/ visible radius (and no , i dont mean the resolution) ranged characters lose theirs #1 ability , distance!
Thanks for the update.

And thanks for taking your time making sure the open beta is ready.

Sure we all want to play OB release, but we want a fulfilling OB release - so we appreciate you guys making it as solid as possible and delaying as necessary.

We'll all be here when it OB comes regardless of how long that takes.
I'm the Ps guy: Psomm, Pso, Psong, pso-on and pso-phorth.
I'd love to see how the loot timer works out in the next release.

However, I never really thought of this as an issue. I feel like Grinding Gear Games got it covered when they said, "Being polite ensures that you'll be invited again!"

In practice, I de-grouped with people who stole loot too much. But, I always befriended and played again with people who shared.

---

I do feel like FFA loot has it's role in PoE though. PoE is all about choices and planning. Do I go down path A or path B in the skill map? Do I specialize in swords, axes, or keep myself open? Do I prioritize shields, armor or evasion? Should I put any points into intelligence or not?

Partying is also a decision. On one hand, It makes bosses easier, while making individual monsters harder, and loot worth more. On the other hand, there is the (perhaps rightful) risk of others taking loot that you might want. Also, if I do party up, who do I go with? Higher level players? Lower level players? Friends? Strangers?

If you mitigate that risk, partying now becomes a no brainier decision.

And lore wise, this makes sense, too. After all, you guys aren't old buddies; you're fellow warriors who happened to currently ally, band together against a common foe. I can totally understand that you'd nab something, instead of letting a stranger, who you'll never meet again, have it.

---

Also, on party boards, party titles could always point out, "Looters will be kicked." There's really an opportunity for sophisticated human dynamic and diplomacy here.

I guess, in the end, the devs have to make a decision on how laissez faire partying should be. I'll support them on whatever they choose.

Will there be a passive skill reset at all?

I would like to try something new and don't have enough orb of regrets! :)

No passive skill reset for this one. I'm sure someone will sell you some orbs of regret for a reasonable price :)
I used to be apathetic, now I just don't care.
Have read this at least three times and I feel really excited.

Cannot wait to see next patch.

Thanks for the updates.

For my 2 cents. I think one of the biggest mistakes D3 made is the introduction of the AH.

Problem is it appears that a public stash will be a purchase. If that is so, players who don't pay (the majority) will continue to spam the general chat to trade.

General chat will be a huge mess when the game goes public.

And adding a separate trade channel is pointless because as seen in several MMO's, people never bother to use them.
if i could afford a key,i would'v gotten one a few weeks ago..since i cant afford one,im forced to ask for one or wait for open beta..can any of u kind souls please oh please give me a key? its sad that i cant afford 10 USD,i know

+100

Time to move on from old paradigms...

It was "fun" in Diablo II, maybe... only because that's all we knew.

I find it a hassle to have to worry about who needs what and whether it's ok or rude to pickup someting or not.

HEADACHES!!!! DRAMA!!!! COMEDY!!!

For the love of God let us enjoy cooperative play without burderning oneselves with who should get what.
