" This is a better response without the subtext snark but you can't list entropy as a negative lmao consistent damage is the easiest to build around and the number of responses I see of players bagging on evade even for HC just suggests theres a shitload of players that never played evade. Yamface is rolling up like wind dancer LUL like practically every character has to build phys reduction but apparently evade means you can only take wind dancer. Rangers, shadows etc problems are caused by lack of life, not because evade doesn't work, maybe we will all be taking ghost shrouds with some reasonable ES hybrid there are plenty of ways to fix the raw life value then its gonna be very competitive. |

I still don't get, and from reading reddit, at least some others dont either, when you are guaranteed to be hit, how the heck will you survive in late game encounters with an evasion build? You say Rangers and Shadows will be problems, well yes lol, that's the majority of evasion based builds. Also I don't see examples of the "plenty" of solutions aside from "maybe ghost shrouds?" Anyways, although we have all the manifesto parts maybe there are still things being worked on. Seems sketch atm, but let's see how it plays out. League ain't far away. " no, entropy doesnt mean you are guaranteed to get hit, taking 1000s of attack hits per map with a cap on evasion being 1 in 20 hits getting through means you are guaranteed to get hit. entropy guarantees you dont take the hits (that you would always take regardless) in a row, meaning you wont die to burst damage because you got unlucky. entropy is the best thing about evasion, it is 100% positive. thinking that if you dont have entropy you would not get hit with 95% evade chance vs 1000s of attack hits landing is just poor understanding of how odds work. " i dunno, an awful lot of '1 shots' are instant bursts of damage than can be mitigated with avoidance. you see a lot of pure armour builds who dont use block or evasion getting instantly obliterated by bursts of attacks in the death highlight reels. it can definitely go both ways. |

Evasion being easier to get opens up avenues that were otherwise not realistic. Those avenues being armor and energy shield. If capping is so much easier, you can stack other methods to handle being hit. Hell even ward might work.
Many of these analysis just state 1 in 10 as if it’s completely unavoidable. The entropy resets after a period of not being hit as well. Your play style impacts that dramatically. For the first time in a long time I’m considering league start on right side because I like hybrid builds even though they bite me in the ass always. " put it this way, a raider who currently has 13k evasion and blinds is evasion capped. its not hard at all, and im not even sure the same char will now be evasion capped given the blind changes? someone will have to math it. but if ur a raider with 13k evasion you now basically take 300% more attack damage and 100% more spell damage thanks to these 'buffs' to defence. its a gigantic shitshow for evasion, thats one of the biggest nerfs i have ever seen in this game, its actually crazy now much they are nerfing evasion defences. |
