A summary of what PoE currently is...

I mean, there you have it...

When the marketing director of GGG openly states what motivates her to do what she's doing (which is money) I sincerely hope she does apply that same philosophy to the market (audience) she's trying to reach (appeal) this product to.

I didn't read the OP. Is this another one about players getting paid and their time being worth money or something?

Maybe a comment about being uber super elite top tier?
Thanks for all the fish!

Same, I am sure his 39 followers will get upset.
A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.
@Nubatron, I sincerely hope the nerfs this time don't prevent you from being able to get another 40 challenges in softcore trade. After 6-7 years of waiting I finally see GGG doing big improvements toward increasing the difficulty rather than decreasing it.

I guess, many like you from the softcore audience stopped purchasing support packs after being used on successfully obtaining 36-40 challenges every league for a while, so now they're doing more for my market.

His 39 followers are just his 39 alt accounts. So maybe they're always upset?
I have a pretty good sense of humor. I'm not German.
Too many words. Poe atm is just colorful animations with you using one button for movement skill and another for exploding the pack.

The rest doesn't matter in any way.
I love every single nerf from reading the mainfesto, which is why after eight years I'm closer to buying a support pack once Zizaran or/with others promote and design event/events that will maintain a much better retention than what we've been seeing.

Keep also in mind that the steam chart numbers are deceiving. Once Path of Exile became available in China the numbers spiked significantly, and despite China being a much larger market, markets in developed countries like North America, Australia/New Zealand, and many European countries worth a lot more to the company.

The community is so fortunate GGG was still generous with the nerfs. I would go much further like remove the ability to re-roll map mods with currency, which is still considered a "soft" nerf, since players would get more currency to use overall on items. I would remove rare items dropping after act 10, and these are just few examples.

You mean the market that does not give GGG any money?
Or the Market that does not play PoE?

Enlighten us, Sensei.

Because we're potential new customers.

Players that already have a dozen supporter packs are hooked and not so likely to quit even after severe changes. That's human nature, the more time and money you invest into something the harder it is to abandon. But us...we're uncommitted, more fickle. And we're the most prospective source of new whales that GGG needs.

That's business.
I wouldn't be so sure of that. The good thing about this game is you don't lose anything by quitting, and can come back at any time if you want. Ill probably come back when poe2 launches, and all this "adjusting" is finished. If it's too slow and boring for me , then I'll wait till they start to power creep again. When it gets to a point I like..... there my tabs and mtx will be...waiting for me like I never left. I don't regret a single dollar I spent on this game, I feel they earned it, but if i don't like it....I am certainly not going to play it. If they never get to a point I like and I leave permanently, well they still earned the money i paid, so it's not like it will factor in.

I never understood this kind of post.

Remember not everything should be about you.

To the casual gamer, it is. Look at the guy making the post. No packs, nothing spent but he seems to think he gets a say? He did nothing to support GGG, leeched on a free game then came here to cry like a child.

To OP

Why should GGG cater to you when you do nothing for them? Why should ANYONE cater to you when you leech, for free, then COMPLAIN the free content you get isn't what you want? You're not even a paying customer, you're less than one. You're a penniless hobo in the analogy here demanding that a restaurant who feeds you for free change the meals to suit you specifically while the people around you pay for their meal so YOU can eat for free. You seem to forget if no one paid for anything, the game you "allegedly" love wouldn't be here.

You do NOT know who will decide or is saving up to pay 60 or 480 dollars for packs in close future NOR you CANNOT see if he has paid XX0 dollars already WITHOUT buying packs /are you?/.
Also each of those "leeching" players not just add number to PoE stats to make it more and more playable game BUT also could advertise the game to any of those "whales" aka new real supporters or just someone who will pay more than him.
You are right to dont like potential "crybaby" guys in reddit or forums who try to turn the game into their dream game by just posting stuff here not understanding nor support the game, but just like TGGG you should deal with it and filter feedback and crybabies or argue pointless.
But whatever we say, TGGG have the last word and as we can see, they dont try to argue with you nor the guy you are arguing here. :)
Slow down for a minute to enjoy the beauty around us.
