Development Manifesto: Harvest Crafting
TLDR: Exalt crafting is one of the shittest things ever invented by a game company. Fuck that kind of crafting. I am posting this to say PLEASE FUCKING RECOGNIZE... your brilliant game delveopers created harvest league to SOLVE A PROBLEM with your [Removed by Support] crafting system that was UNFUN and turned people off from the game completely, creating a feeling of HOPELESSNESS that causes people to quit.
No one, I've ever talked to, played with, or heard about --- has ever said "Gee, it felt so amazing when I exalt slammed that item for the 30th time and failed AGAIN. OH SHIT what a rush! I'm so glad I get to play a game like this!" EVER. NO ONE. Last edited by Will_GGG#0000 on Mar 10, 2021, 9:16:39 PM

Hi Chris, long time POE lover here.
This is your game and I can't wait for Poe 2 transformations but I think this is move is a mistake for players like myself. I don't think I've stuck around a league this long since delirium and the only reason I was playing delirium that long was because I had a herald stacker and there was always more to achieve on a build. Harvest crafting makes it where your imagination is the limit of improving your character. Yes, it makes it easy to get started with really nice gear but it also gives you realistic upgrade goals for your character because it is deterministic. On my ele hit wander, when I was not using TFT, it took me from level 85-97 to finish crafting my wand. I was motivated to play that character cause I knew I would eventually hit the mods in harvest I wanted and would be able to finish the wand. It also lets players able to experiment a lot more with builds because they can make good gear easier. TLDR: I think this change takes away realistic progression goals from people and I personally think that is the reason why so many people have played this league for a lot longer than previous leagues. |

How does any of this change that you have to use TFT, even if you dont want to craft - to at least sell your crafts?

People play this game to have fun. If you take away something like this that nearly everyone enjoys, then you're going the wrong direction.
Devs, don't let your biases of what you 'think' the game should be lead you to make the wrong decision here. Give the people what they want, and you'll keep raking in the money. Take away the fun, and the money goes too. That said, I've always enjoyed the support this game has. Thanks to the Devs for caring enough to stay plugged in. Hope you can come to the right decision. |

Mostly....BOOOOOOOOOOOOOO .... thumbs down
3.13 felt like it took the game from a game played by two distinct groups - the 99% and then the elite 1% - to a more evenly spread and accessible version of the game played many gradual tiers. This feels like it will go backwards more towards the elite cliques that own the game and make it seem like the rest of us can't do it by ourselves. I was really proud of 3.13 and its even spacing of accessibility. Again, this feels like going backwards... GL EXILE! Last edited by KingGraybeard#0293 on Mar 10, 2021, 9:15:56 PM

This is a bad move, and apparently making Harvest at all was a bad move and y'all had no idea how badly you broke your own game there. That's rough. That is rough. I am sad that one of the best things to happen to crafting the whole time I've been playing POE has to go to maintain some sense of order for y'all. Top level crafts only for the 0.0001%, like it's supposed to be. Great.
I'm sure it won't matter, but I could not disagree more with this drastic, brutal nerf. Last edited by AgreedSA#0667 on Mar 10, 2021, 9:11:50 PM
