don't feel as a h'n's anymore
I lost my feeling with poe, no more pleasure on loot, now everything is "currency" farm, no more powerfull items like yesteryear h'n's... don't like the endgame anymore. too much visual effect..
Feel all the bug, all the fps drop with max map. 4-5 harbingers in same place..!? big fps drop, this is stupid. It is now a speed farming currency game with 5 fps for the endgame... just clic, dont see whats happens and nothing more. News bosses are boring. Sirus fight sucks, Maven is same mixture of stupid visual effect. This is not for me anymore. I hope that the next h'n's will bring closer to what we had in the past. I had good times on poe, but I also had a great disappointment with the turn of the game. Sorry for this rant... Cya on others game. Last bumped on Mar 4, 2021, 3:16:47 PM

I agree completely, POE is taking a dangerous path. My only Hope is that Poe2 fix the game but we have zero info about it since forever. It's time to move on on another game.
There is no more item to chase, no natural worthy loot, It's all about craft and wallstreet trading simulator... GGG is a big company now, $$$ > Passion. |

" Yeah I do feel u. This whole craft and economy focus of the game and ofcorse the visual diahrea cluster f. is what driving me away too... Its funny that even chris said that he isnt happy too with the state of the game so there is still hope. |

I've definitely noticed a change in poe, and I've only been playing since legacy league.
Items - arguably the most important part of HnS games, just aren't fun anymore in poe. Unique items, even very rare ones from hard to get to bosses, are just outclassed by a quick multimod rare. Add in being able to item print bis slots with harvest and it's just sucked the fun out. Gameplay - Having a couple extra activities to do while in a map is fun. Having 19 of 'kill this extra pack of mobs' that's just dressed up differently makes everything so damn messy feeling. Mob types don't matter as you can't even see what's going on half the time. Combat - The zoom zoom mindset is perfectly fine, and awhile ago it only felt necessary when you completely juiced your map on purpose. Now? A simple alched map is just a jumbled garbage pile of 3,000 mobs. You HAVE to go fast to survive, and the fun is taken out when that playstyle is forced. Unfortunately I have very low expectations for D4, I just don't think new Blizzard understands these types of games. And the thought of no real competition from anyone else is a bummer. But thank god D2R is coming out. Maybe PoE2 will actually have drastic changes, but I'm worried it's become more about the money then a good game with poe. |

I started my full league at Harbinger. The one with the added 6 acts. Mapping was smooth as there were plentiful of horizon/Harbringer orb.
Picking up stuff, especially Uniques were exciting. YOu do not need crazy crafted items. A few good uniques & rare to fill life/resist will be enough. Atlas was simple. Level until T16m beat all the guardians, get the fragments, then open portal to beat shaper. It was still grindy,m but within reasons. Now you have to play some monopoly game, moving balls around, beat the same few conquerors & maven invites 20 times. Does the game actually more fun now than 3 years ago or so? The combat hasn't changed much. More orbs, gears & affix to pump the power creep & add more grind with very little gameplay improvement. I am sure certain area has improved, more exciting affixes, Custer jewels, more theorycrafting. But for every good, they add more unfun stuff, like the monopoly game, the harvest trading, & for reason, made lab worst. I did not remember traps on platforms in the fire floor area. The auto stash to preset tab is a massive QoL. I think beast craft is cool, & straightforward. Never liked delve but I know many do, & Heist can be pretty fun, well, for the first 5 times.... There is a reason, I skip many leagues, as the burnout & the end grind often turned me off & I instead play other games. I can understand GGG intends to be grindy so people stay longer, but I am not sure if it hit the intended purpose. I feel the average gamers will feel more satisfied to play one month, beat all the contents & leave the league happy & satisfied, then prematurely quit 2 months before their goals as the grind > joy. Ah damn that's bad news LeShor, I agree that performance is a big issue and really affects the joy of playing and is a big barrier to multiplayer too. Loot has been bugging me for a while, it's more path of exalted/currency than anything else, basically loot is not exciting at all as it'd be for D2 for example, I really hope they'll make it more attractive in PoE 2.
Well it's a pity we lose a great creator too :( maybe see you in PoE 2, cheers mate. 📜My hideout thread : https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2542497 Last edited by Synopsis#1060 on Feb 28, 2021, 5:09:50 PM

" That first sentence triggered the melody to You've Lost that Loving Feeling by The Righteous Brothers and now all I can do is read this as if they were the lyrics. And yeah, this does date me a little, but this song was over a decade before I was born. As for the topic, I agree with the zoom zoom part of this statement. No doubt that playstyle has brought in a lot more players but I miss the 1.3 timeframe. I would even take desync back as a tradeoff. It's hard to unring the bell. |
