[3.19] Ice Dancing Queen - Icestorm/Cyclone/CI - Viable For Everything
Thanks, Kelvynn. You should link to your response on the first page under "endgame currency strategies!"
Yeah, I need to move resists and open slots around in order to fit in the 3-affix amulet upgrade. Just trying to figure out an optimal order to do this. Per your commentary, the correct approach is just go go get the currency needed first... You can also craft +30 to str/dex in a couple of places, which might help. It's interesting your atlas focus is on bosses whereas mine has been on strongboxes, harbingers, delirium, expedition, heist, and eater of worlds. Wrong in every case, in other words!!
" Dude, what were we talking about for 15 pms? No, it's not WRONG, and I also told u invitationfarming is a totally fine strat. I told u to STICK TO ONE AND MAX IT. As long as you think on categorys like "right and wrong" when it comes to farming strats you'll never get out of the 1ex/h range. Sure, this is no breach- or legion farmer, but everything that does not require very high levels of aoe or movespeed (hence heist might be suboptimal also) is totally fine if u play it correctly... I'm still exploring strats for the next league. Thanks to your comments, I do have a better idea of what to do.

New video: Uber Uber Elder
Technically, this can be done right after Uber Shaper with the same gear. It just takes a bit of practice to get used to frostblinking around the active boss while dodging the inactive one. The biggest challenge is the ball phase when they are both invulnerable. There is no good spot to hide (like at Uber Shaper). I don't have cat-like reflexes, so I typically die 1-2 times per kill to this mechanic. However, there are a couple tricks that can help survive it more reliably: - a special Sapphire flask enkindled with increased effect (~30% less cold dmg taken); - in the portal phase, clear the first round of portals, but only kill 2-3 from the second round to save some adds that you can leech from in the next ball phase. Another important note is that Icestorm uses name-locking: if you target something and hold the button, it will keep casting on that target until you release the button (or the target dies). When you push the Shaper to invulnerability, make sure to stop casting and target the Elder! Otherwise you'll keep casting on the invulnerable Shaper, and the Elder will take no damage. You can always check what you are targeting at the top of the screen. Last edited by Kelvynn on Jun 25, 2022, 4:41:34 PM

New video: Uber Sirus
Uber Sirus is a total mess, just like the regular Sirus, but with 50% extra bullshit and bugs. And no reward worth a damn. There is no reason to do this shitfest more than once, just for the kill challenge. And even with good gear it will rarely be deathless. There is just too much bullshit, including some random unavoidable death situations. The regular Sirus is easy enough with this build if you need him for anything. Since this boss doesn't fight you directly, there is no need for any defensive flasks. I bring an extra set of damage ones for the final phase. And the Writhing Jar for a quick heal (it restores about 25% ES) during the X-beam phase.
Hello, first off I've got to say this has been one of the smoothest build I've played in a long while!
I'm just curious as to where to take my build next, I am struggling to kill some bosses (I am working on the second TWI Staff). I do also sometimes, randomly, just get one shot, I am sitting around 11K ES, are there certain mods on monsters that can affect this? Also I nearly deal half the total DPS your high end build makes, I'm guessing the clusters add this damage but surely not 50% of the builds damage? If you could help me out and have a better understanding of where to take this build next it would be greatly appreciated! Defo running this build again. " That amulet is not very good. It gives you nothing but a lot of raw Int. But it doesn't have the damage mod that would make it worth using. And it creates all sorts of Str/Dex problems. To solve which you are taking Practical Application instead of Steelwood Stance. And that's why you get 1-shot with 11k ES in maps. Don't trade Steelwood Stance for anything. If you really need the starts, find them elsewhere. You don't need Light Eater. That's 3 nodes you can spend on something else. Like get CttC and BS on the 2nd cluster. Or Str/Dex near Ele Overload. Or Deep Thoughts/Mana Mastery. Still not having a boss staff at lv 91 makes me sad. Of course you struggle with some bosses. Clarity lv 19? Pretty sure 21/0 costs just a few c, get it. 16% Int belt? Should be 18%. Also, ele damage with Attacks does nothing for you. Icestorm is a spell, not an attack. The expensive Clarity/ES mod on the Watcher's Eye gives you about 1.5k ES. But you don't have ES gain on hit that's great for mapping. Where is Immortal Call? Where is Vortex/Bonechill? What Ice Bite?? What Defiance Banner?? No Blasphemy aura? Non-phantasmal Wave of Conviction? It looks like you should be running out of mana against bosses. No mana recoup craft, no Deep Thoughts/Mastery. Maybe that's why you dropped a Blasphemy aura. But then you don't produce enough explosions. Making custom modifications like that (and dropping Steelwood Stance) is why you die. Your mapping experience would be a whole lot smoother if you followed the guide.
" Awesome thank you, will take this into consideration, will spend some time tonight smoothing things out!
Forgot to add, about the map mods. I usually avoid these, at least when I'm leveling and don't want to risk dying:
- Ele reflect. For the obvious reason. You can do it by switching 1 ring. But still annoying. - No Leech. Disables your survivability. Can still do with ES on hit Watchers Eye, but dangerous. - No Regen. Requires a mana flask that doesn't stop on full. Just very annoying. - 60% reduced recovery of ES etc. This takes away most of your leech. - 40% reduced block chance. This takes away half of your main defense. - Minus 12% max res. You take a more damage. - 25% inc damage. This makes the mobs in T16 hit like it was T19. And it's never the only mod, so it just makes the map much more dangerous.
" Awesome, noted! Also thanks for those suggestions/fixes, I can't believe I missed out on so much, I'm still sitting around 66% fire res (which can be fixed with small passive skills on cluster). I can also improve on the watcher's eye still, but at this point it's been a few hours of juiced maps and I haven't died. Thank you so much, again, awesome build, will definitely be running this again next League, the progression has been fun!
