[3.15]💥Dang's Infernal Trinity Palm Raider 💥 Explosions W/O Massive cost.🔨Crafting Section🔨

Currently level 90 and loving it. I was using the Avatar of the Chase instead of Avatar of the Slaughter until now. I know it's less damage but it's more defensive because of the extra evade chance right? Is it worth it though?
I have to say, it's really hard to start gearing another character once you experience the infernal blow one-tapping and zooming.
digging this, rolling as a serker for some shenanigans

very nice template, and trinity seems very very strong
I've found that Trinity Support doesn't trigger for us in boss fights without other monsters around to kill. After properly reading through Infernal Blow, this unfortunately makes sense. There are three ways damage can be dealt by Infernal Blow - hit, debuff AoE, and on-death explosion. Hit and debuff AoE both are subject to our regular damage conversion, where on-death explosion is full fire. This means that unless we kill something and its death explosion hits something else, all our damage will be cold dominant and we won't gain our third resonance. This causes a ~45% DPS loss.

Here's a video of me testing it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TZ285OIfKpk

My PoB: https://pastebin.com/c6xG3SHb

I don't have a great idea on how to fix this problem. We could set up another skill to deal fire damage and link it with Trinity like something on CwDT (j/k Trinity can't support triggered skills), or flame dash, but that would cause us to run out of space on skill gems and not be very reliable. Writhing Jar might work? Not sure. For now I'm just going to swap Trinity to Awakened Ele Focus for difficult boss fights, which is "only" a ~14% DPS loss.

I did actually watch that video already and frankly I don't have a good explanation for it. I suspect some sort of invisible unit shenanigans could be involved in the scripting of that fight, because you'll notice that flask charges and vaal souls are also gained during it. It's still possible I'm missing something here, but Sirus is not a reliable test case and doesn't actually present an explanation as to why it would be working. You can also look at the debuff AoE damage in PoB, and it will show you a cold dominant hit.

How's this working out for you? I'm really tempted to reroll my chieftain into this build.

Only thing I could think of would be maybe vengeful commander is buffing your hatred too much or something. I've had trinity on every boss fight i've done. I have noticed it not proc in heist sometimes for some reason, although for me it was fire not building, but never on bosses.

Take a video like mine on a simple map boss with no other monsters, letting all your resonance fall off before starting, I'd be curious to see if it really is working for you.

How do you sustain the mana usage? I got both rings with the enchant -8 for non channeling and still have some issues with it
