Our Reasoning Behind the 3.13 Launch Delay

This is unacceptable and quite embarrassing. Delayed because of another game on the market... :D That isn't even multiplayer... :D
Could you be any more greedy?

Thank you for taking the time to explain!

I personally won't be playing Cyberpunk either, but if you guys need the revenue from a successful launch in order to keep developing PoE for us, then go ahead and delay as much as you see fit.

Looking forward to an awesome 3.13 launch!

Damn, you do really care only about streamers that are probably like 5% or less of the playerbase. Make me wonder if you give streamers some advantage in the drop rate of good items to them too.

If it wasn't for those steamers a good percentage of the other 95% of the playerbase wouldn't even be playing Path of Exile.
Thank you for the transperancy and the brutal honesty of the events and things that made you folks come to your decision. It is tough and it is hard, but business is business and and let us hope that everyone at the studio can at least a chill Christmas for once.

Sorry that you guys have to squeeze a so much of water from tha bookkeping stones. A hard decision, but a good one. It will pay itself back in long term.

As a kindred folk of dev tribe, I salute you and respect your choice.

May your compilers never throw any exceptions, and your IDE's show no Warnings.
just keep working on poe 2. if you need to do more 1 month races or events or legacy plays then its fine if you dont have huge league mechanics. after harvest and now heist it be to optimistic for another huge league especially after this league was not all finished at launch. january is fine and other games like cyberpunk or other games will be releasing so. it makes sense to hold off. plus we would rather have poe 2 out sooner. more people are looking forward to that the most.
rawrawr
This is all fine and logical.
I just hate PR. you original message brands it as a decision of choice for the players, whereas,. it always clearly was about money. thats fine, we dont give a shit, just lead with that instead of playing on words. THATS what people hate about companies. And you re still viewed as a nice little indie studio (although we both know that isnt quite true anymore).
Stay true, well be fine.

Please, stop licking streamer's butts.

No, it's not thanks to streamers that 95% of the playerbase actually plays the game, in fact, most of the players that comes thanks to streamers are probably the ones that will quit in the very first few weeks, when they realise that PoE isn't as easy as they thought.

Also, there are quite a few streamers that actually mostly plays PoE, and those streamers are not responsible for bringing NEW player base, they mostly just draw attention to the players that are already into the game, seeking builds/advice/wasting time.

Imo the best possible decision to just delay the new league and i really dont understand how ppl can honestly be like "...greediest thing ever" ?!

I mean after all GGG needs to make money to keep doing new stuff in the Game, just like everyone does and for the purpose of that they're ofc aiming for the most beneficial release for a new League.

Besides that and the fact that maybe some ppl already planned their holidays around the expected release of 3.13 (which iam sorry for but 3.13 start wasnt anywhere officially communicated iirc so...your fault i guess) what are the downsides for us the players if they delay 3.13 a little bit?!

I just dont get it, imho in the end we, the players will only benefit of a more fleshed out, less buggy and overall probably way more enjoyable league with the cost of haveing to "wait" a few days longer than normally.

And on top of that we actually get some probably really cool "downtime-events" aswell, like flashback that we didnt have in like over a year, maybe endless delve and stuff.

So TLDR: Good decision for a great game made of the best and most in touch with their communuity dev's at least i got to know so far!

Keep on the good Work GGG!
pls keep ban bots now and ban bots next league too!
