Amazing candid post. Thank you.
All good. Thanks for the update Chris.

Have always appreciated the direct communication with GGG.

"business" model? I thought this was a free to play charity that we "support" through our gracious optional purchases... >.>

At least that's what this obsequious community has always told me over the years any time I dare to complain about anything.

Still, nice to actually have some time to finish.

Good to see you admit your entire business model is wrapped around the guys that complete the league in week 1.

No wonder the game is a hard no on the recommendation to others scale for people like me.

I actively warn people, especially diablo 2 fans not to play this game since it's basically video slots merged with forex run by a company with leadership that makes EA look like a gamer's advocacy group. (If you honestly think differently you need to buy stock in koolaid.)

I don't care about any release dates, the game still will be no fundamentally different than my steam review: https://steamcommunity.com/id/innomen/recommended/238960

CD Projekt Red: Did you see it guys? Poe delayed an expansion because of us.
Also CD Projekt Red: Yep its confirmed we have a success on our hands... but what are going to play on December.

Pleeaaaaaaase

I think the last 2 league were super dissapointing and the game has become really boring.
The new atlas system killed all the fun for me really.

The only good thing about last league was the banwaves to fight botting.

So for me this delay is a good thing, maybe this way you are able to finally come up with something fun again...
I would be willing to wait 6months if we would finally have a fun game again...
Just because I'm paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get me.
Chris: you made the right call. There will be haters, just ignore them. You're choosing to give your team a good summer holiday over a rushed buggy release.

Heist is a good league, I have no issues with it lasting a while longer.

Interesting to see the divide between people in the comments. My initial reaction reading post on steam about the delay was that it looked like an excuse. So thank you for providing better context for this since now I can see how such hyped (in my opinion overhyped) release will have big impact on your bottom line.
I probably won't play Cyberpunk, at least not in the beginning, but I completely understand your reasons for delaying. I also highly respect your openness and communication to the POE community.

Not sure if anyone else has put this out there already, but what about this idea?

But a short league of endless Delving, where that is the whole focus, and you actually level there. After so many depth levels you get an ascendancy level, and after so many depths you get a challenge or progress or piece of a new armour set so when you reach a certain top level you have the whole set! Similar to a flashback league from way back where every 5 challenges gave you a piece of a blue or red armour set for softcore and hardcore respectively.

I love flashback events, but I also really miss race leagues!
There are only four rules you need to remember: Make the plan, Execute the plan, Expect the plan to go off the rails, Throw away the plan. Follow my lead and you’ll be fine.
I've been playing and supporting this game/company for a long time now. While I have no interest in playing Cyberpunk I do understand the reasoning behind the delay. As many have asked I'm wondering what will happen if CP delays their release again. I doubt that the league will release in december. My worry is that this may lead to further delays over and over again.

For the sake of PoE and GGG I really hope that the next league launch will be less buggy.

After having read many of the posts here I do believe it is very important for GGG to release or create at least something interesting and fun in december. Perhaps even multiple things considering a lot of different players like different things.

I for one would be very excited for the Battle Royale mode to make it's return and I am not at all interested in delve. However I do know that there are a lot of people that love the idea of endless delving.

GGG has an opportunity here to regain a lot of trust over the next couple of months but also could possibly make things worse if december and the following league end up as a disaster.

I sincerely hope they figure something out.
