Bug - Karst The Kiss Goodnight not progressing

I had the same, then I got another contract that yet again had to do with getting "the Kiss Goodnight", so I did it and nothing dropped from the Curio (since I already had the potion in my inventory since last time). But I just ran out afterwards and could turn the quest in. But very annoying to have to do it twice, wasting both coins and time.
