Will Harvest Become Core Path of Exile Content?

Alright let me put in my 2 cents to this topic.

As community is divided now in opinion on this league heres my perspective on it.

Lets start of with the fact that i am that top X% lot of casuals are complaining, yes i make 100 ex in first week of the league (and no i dont use bots and i do not flip shit) and yes i play 10 hours a day first week of the league (playing way less after, depending on how engaging this league is). Creating this wealth is just "abusing" the experience and mechanical + crafting knowledge i have about this game that i accumulated over the years. Translated, i craft shit that sells well and doing boss carry service early on which brings huge bank.

Lot of you "casuals" view this as somehow "unfair", because they "cant" achieve this level of wealth through whole league not to mention first week. To that i say bs, its not that you cant, you just dont want to put time and energy into it and that is your problem. It is completely okay if you dont want to spend hours learning how to craft, but then dont whine that you dont have shit that others who put that time and effort in have.

Now to the point: Lot of people run around here and talk about harvest giving opportunity to casuals to get hands on "nice" items fairly cheap. What you dont realize those items are not "nice", they are "perfect" and creating those perfect items took long hours and lot of risks in previous leagues. Only people who were willing to put in those hours and take those risks were able to create them and it was pretty fair because such items have ridiculous power level and they should be reward for a lot of work. How is that fair now, that you can create perfect boots or armour that were previous league mirror worthy with 5 ex investment? (and before you start crying that 5 ex is still lot of money, you are playing the game wrong and you should never be able to get hands on perfect crafted items ever)

Yes sure, we "top X%" created new level of mirror tier items now, with power creep like this there were lot of opportunities to push limits way further and what is considered "mirror tier" this league has so stupid power level, it triviliazes the content to the extent that is not healthy to the game at all. These items that can be created with 50 ex investment now fairly reliably, werent even possible to make before (or were but on average with 400 ex+ investment and still not guaranteed, they were "once in a lifetime" items)

In conclusion, whole economy (both league and standard) is now dumpster fire, power level of items is on record high peak and it triviliazes to content to unhealthy extent and you wanna argue that you want to keep this as it is? No thank you.

So yeah its cool that lot of y all "casuals" got taste of what the game looks like when you actually put in the hours and effort to putting your gear together, now instead of whining its gonna be hard again next league, learn how to do it.

TLDR: Its RPG game. In RPG game time and grinding and knowledge is rewarded. If you dont wanna learn or put in the time, dont whine that you dont achieve high end of the gear. Thats how its supposed to work.

I think this game has become so easy with every update that it's a very wise decision to cancel it next season... I think it's great that theres a variety and that you try things... but as I recall this game used to be hard and killing bosses used to be complicated... now it takes 15 seconds unless there are pauses between the boss fights.

This game mechanic in particular did not please me at all... and got me to stop playing for a while.... I think it's very unfair that good players get access to the best crafting recipes and that leaves players like me unable to catch up to them... even if I played as hard as I could... this game has become complicated to a point where new players don't know where to start focusing anymore.

I think that the game is like an old program with patches everywhere and that it needs to be cleaned up... And this decision for me is great... it's like a clean up!

As for the team behind GGG I totally support you because you now have the funds to focus on what is important and you've always tried to listen to the community.

Thanks for a wonderful game that I've invested in and will continue to support... I'm a guild and if there is something I would like is to see more change around guilds...not just the game all the time.

I understand perfectly what you're saying, but still it turns around to be trading and crafting... If you don't trade, you will not earn that wealth just farming mobs...

So what is BS for you is not for the majority of players who won't play 10 hours a day (not with a 70h a week job) and don't want to engage with trading that is not fun and tedius at best...
Path of Exile is a Casino for gambling addicts.
Gambling is not fun nor a game mechanic...

You just described all my feelz for this league, never got those store craft benches and every time I got a nice craft, I didn't have anything to craft it on. That's what led me to my bad thoughts about this league. Oh and I hear there's a new boss coming from the garden? Just rumors in my world, will probably never encounter it.

It would be nice if there was still a way for low level characters to add sockets and/or change socket colour as easily as in harvest. I hate trading and this is a way to use the things you pick up along the way without being too overpowered.

While you are at it, can you fix constant random disconnects while fighting inside the grove with all portals disappearing as if server instance crashed. That was not the case in earlier Harvest patches/builds.

Crafting and trading are parts of this game. Yes they are the "easiest" means to create wealth but are not the only ones. You can create wealth through different means and you dont really have to interact with them so much. You have so much different content to interact with now that you can create currency in many different avenues and interact with "tedious trading" only when youre buying items that other people created.

Point is, the wealthiest people in rpg games will always be the ones who put the most time in. Noone is forcing you to put 70 hours a week to this game, but if you cant enjoy it without BiS items you should rethink if this is really game for you.

Smart choice... Too quick progress almost killed league completely. Diablo 3 players go play diablo 3 and stop asking for diablo 3 in poe.
