It is probably worth removing the chaos recipe at this point. The only people who benefit from it are mass bot farms.

Before you say "chaos spamming is a legit crafting method" and "but poor people and ssf" no. The benefit of getting rid of bots and RMT is worth the sacrifice of having to find other ways to reroll stuff.

no we need the recipe,if it wasnt for the chaos recipe i would only have around 20 chaos right now. currency drops are awful this league

The chaos recipe is never worth doing, if you want extra chaos and still want to play at a reddit level of inefficiency, just do your t1 seeds up to t2/t3 and sell the valuable ones. The amount of time you save not doing that shitty recipe will be far better invested just doing extra maps and t1 seeds for just the seeds they drop, even ignoring the crafts they give.

I'll never understand why people are so willfully ignorant as to believe that doing the chaos recipe is every worth it in a trade league, when it objectively is always less currency per hour than far easier and more mindless methods.

sure collecting seeds then figuring out what they're worth then trading them over and over is less tedious than the chaos recipe. how about you do that and let me do what i want? ty

It's really not tedious, there's only like 5 different seeds per tier, per color, so you can easily recognize by name which ones sell for chaos super easily. To me, it's much less tedious than filling my inventory and designated stash tabs with specific item slots, then trying to balance how many of each I have while being constrained by rare rings, all for less than a map's worth of seeds, which can be obtained in 30 seconds.

Regardless, the point of my argument was not to tell you what to do, but to give an example of how the chaos recipe isn't the best thing for players, and so isn't necessary even for the lower end of players, and as such it wouldn't hurt much to remove it and end the primary source of botted currency.
There's no powercreep here. Creep implies it's slow and could be overlooked, this is a full out sprint.

That advocates removing a self-reliant method to generate currency, and swapping it with a lot of interaction. There are people who prefer not to trade, but don't want to go full embargo on trading because they might need the random thing that is hard to find.

Removing the chaos recipe won't remove bots. They'll farm chaos orb divination cards (or whatever else), instead.
This is a huge issue but there is only so much GGG can do without enforcing a paywall.

As soon as you ban 10,000 bots, another 10,000 will take its place since account creation is free.

They could at least just require a phone number to be able to trade, like many other games have done. Once that association is there, it's much more costly for botters to create new accounts, which would at least lessen their detrimental effects on trade.

I'd go a little further. Require a phone number on account creation, validate that it's a mobile number for the registration country (service cost negligible to a company GGG's size), and send an authentication code to that number by SMS to confirm the account. No authentication, no completed account.
Then limit one mobile number to (say) 3 accounts max, plus if a bot account is identified all the accounts on that number are suspended.

are people really so bored that they try to understand the price of some IN-GAME currency that have no value in real life?

exactly. i hate trading. you either sit in your HO waiting for a sale or you get interrupted while playing and have to stop whatever you're doing
The chaos recipe needs to stay. It's perfect for leagues like this, and for players that prefers doing things themselves, most of the time. In a F2P game, botters gonna bot no matter what, and botters gonna flip no matter what.

I'd support a phone number validation on account creation.
Sometimes, just sometimes, you should really consider adapting to the world, instead of demanding that the world adapts to you.
