[PS4] Common PS4 Client Crashes

Last season I gave up on buying a second supporter pack, due to this crashing. I was really hoping they would fix this for Heist and it seems worse.

If I'm able to play an hour without crashing I might think about it again, but almost quitting.

I have a PS4 Pro, and I can confirm that I am getting constant crashes while leveling (questing) and Heists (details below).

Heists are where things get HECTIC:
Out of ~10 Heists I've attempted, I was only able to complete 3 (maybe 4, as one of them didn't close for some weird reason). In one of those I got 2 chaos orbs and I was around level 23 and bam, I crashed and everything was gone (very, very painful at league start) ...

I have gotten used to the regular crashes in the previous leagues (no biggie, eh :S), but this League, it's gotten out of control to the point where the game is unplayable.

During normal play, I'd say it averages of 2 crashes per hour.

I am a very patient guy, and we are still in Lockdown here (ffs), so a bit of extra time (but not nerves) on my hands

The frame rate drops drastically when brining up the skill tree. (even in your hideout) Even just bringing up the menu has caused a crash.

Any updates on PS4 crashes?

Unfortunately, heist content is unplayable since you lose every other contract and it's too risky to invest in a heist with this frequency of crashes. Sadly, I'll be giving up on the league mechanics until the game is stable.

I've attempted to restart the game every 2-3 contracts hoping that will help but didn't manage to run 2 successfully, so scratch that.

Just got another complete console crash in a heist and had to pull the power cord as the console did not react any longer! I won't do heists any longer until this issue is fixed as it will damage my PS4 over time! I can't really understand why Sony is accepting such crap!


I'm asking you to fix this issue asap as this league is unplayable!

It's surprising to see how varied the crash experience has been. My experience has not been limited to heists. I haven't even attempted to do a heist yet. I am simply progressing through the acts with my first character, on Act 7.

- Crashes come at random moments. So far it has been during combat, not necessarily when transitioning between zones or in town.
- Has happened in every act/zone
- There is no particular time interval. It's happened 3 hours apart and it's happened closer to 30 minutes apart. The vast majority of the time it's 2-3 hour intervals. Never goes as long as GGG suggested it takes them before a crash. It will ALWAYS crash inside of a few hours without fail.
- On PS4 it's a hard crash that crashes the OS as well. After every crash my console is no longer connected to the Playstation Network.
- It is an older console with a HDD.
- I wondered if maybe it had to do with certain skills, but a summoner build and toxic rain build have had the same results, with no overlapping skills or support gems.

I have:
- deleted games to make extra free space on my HD
- rebuilt the PS4 database
- deleted and reinstalled POE

I'm guessing it's been hard to recreate the issue because it is not as a result of a certain action or sequence of actions, it behaves more like a memory leak that builds over time until crash.

Yesterday I had to reinstall the operating system of my PS4 thanks to the numerous crashes of the POE.
I lost all data and had to download all games again. I abandoned this league today, after another crash.

Man are we just gonna be ignored like this? Why even bother releasing the game on ps4 them?

Has anyone tried initializing the ps4? Wondering if that might help, I have no idea.
