Changes to the Purposeful Harbinger Notable Passive

While I think this change is necessary I do find it puzzling that every league we go through a cycle just like this one. Most of the time, however, the nerf comes in the subsequent league.

New league content always increases the power level of players beyond the developers' expectations. Players will continue to find broken, OP builds over and over again. This is nothing new. In fact, it is part of the fun of build-making in Path of Exile.

Too bad some things just end up being too OP.

So when is Headhunter going to get the axe?

Funniest part of this thread is that a majority of the people who support this decision are people with below 15 league challenges. no characters above 95.

Is goo goo gurber baby too lazy to farm money for da zoom zoom build. get your gurber cup for sippy sippy milky boo hoo.

If you play this game casually with 0 knowledge or time invested to learn it. you don't deserve to tell how the people who actually care about this game should play.

Funniest part of this thread is that the "build" will still own all content even after the patch.

One of the first videos on Herald stacking (Immortal Man RF build) was facetanking 100% delirious T16s with almost none of the broken items/auras, using a single 7node Voices, no HH, no solstice, no nebulis, no black cane, no tailwind nor sporeguard.

This build is absolutely still broken even with auras from skills. Post-nerf Unwavering Faith still counts as a skill and you'll still get 40% Phys reduction and 16% regen. Zealotry gives 100% more spell damage and Hatred double dips with 100% extra cold + 100% more cold damage. Purities capping resist at 90% with no resist gear etc

Still the strongest build in the game BY FAR.

Where did they post Guardian passives will still be affected? Or are you just assuming it will count as a skill.

Only Unwavering Faith gonna work. You still lose all your ES from Radiant Faith. You will lose all your Damage from Radiant Crusade and you will lose all your Block from Bastion of Hope.
Well done, GGG. this is a good move.
No to conditional challenges on top of RNG pure luck mechanics.

Guys, i allready spend 1weak of my life to create this build. I played RF on hc league, and build not so strong. What the ... are you doing? Recently in an interview Chris says he doesn't nerf anythning when league start. if you are do that it will be very stupid. I can only ask not to do it, Or I 'll have to go play another game.

honestly, right now you are just best of playing another game or figure out another build to do, i'm in the same boat as you, i've spent a ton of currency and a sick amount of time into making the guardian rf, before i knew this was a meta thing and without knowing that there was anything wrong with it, and i only started making it knowing that they dont do build breaking nerfs mid league, well guess i was wrong about this one :/ so for me it's either back to hollow palm or ditch path for a good while

Is it possible to for Lone Messenger keystone to work with Skitterbots? I don't think summon skitterbots is an aura.

If it has "AURA" tag it's an aura...
For everyone crying that this shouldn't be nerfed: You feel it is entirely right for the next 2.5 months (maybe more, depending on development delays due to global pandemic issues), to have a singular build that is both ridiculous degrees of magnitude stronger than anything else, while also becoming excessively prohibitive in entry level cost, is "good and fair" for the game? Climb off your high horse.

There is never a game developer that wants to throw nerfs in just for the sake of "ruining your fun". This is, as it is explained, for the sake of game balance, due to an extreme outlier. These things DO happen, and have to be done. GGG goes to pretty great lengths not to do it most of the time, within a league (or at least within the first week, before builds really solidify), but exceptions are going to happen.

If this is your "straw that broke the camel's back" on why you won't play anymore, you were already out the door, and were just having too much fun being an unkillable god, with a build that is borderline cheating with how powerful it is. This is an excuse for you, not the actual reason.

Personally, I am all for a build being trimmed down to be brought in-line with the power curve expectations. It's not going to be rendered useless, just more in scope with the expected power output. Deal. With. It.

And for everyone comparing this to Headhunters: Short of farming Doctor cards, it is nearly impossible to get this league. Inspired Learning is more realistic, and even then, they already nerfed this shared effect by making the Shackles of the Wretched change from an additive modifier to a multiplicative one, making Temporal Chains not be able to send your buff duration through the roof.
The fact that the nerf that's gonna happen is kinda direct toward solstice/hh interaction(and guardian too), but not reducing the purposeful percentage right now isn't very fair ggg not to mention during middle of the league. I respect and support your decision ggg, but I think lately reddit has too much influence on you.
Good job GGG. Nuts to all you overpowered build abusers.
There have been other overpowered builds before which were not nerfed during the league, so the necessity of immediate nerfs is questionable. Furthermore, you explicitly said that there will not be mid league nerfs. Even if you regret that decision, a reliable and honest person would stick to their word because others depend on it. That is the reason people trust them. If somebody only keeps their word when it fits their goals, i would not call it an honest person.

Yes who cares.

If someone else have a great build i don't get Mad at them like you apparently do. Its okay for people to have good builds. cyclone every, summoner everything. Crazy aura stacking everything. Its okay.
