Changes to the Atlas of Worlds in Path of Exile: Delirium

GGG hey guys long time supporter here. If you take away the plus 1 level of maps from awakerner bonus no one is going to want to do it. You guys took a huge step in the right direction with this change and got rewarded with huge player retention. Please dont backpedal you got it right the first time.

By the way, this means something like 20 - 36 maps minimum to proc the Conquerors + 4 Conquerors fights to finaly get a Sirus ticket and lose it all if the fight bugs or the server lags or UNEXPECTED DISCONNECTION

Ok, let's be blunt. Targeted map farming is dead, will stay, dead, and It is a good thing it is dead.

Here is why targeted map farming destroys the GGG's ability to make maps specific chase Uniques rare enough that they are valuable but not so rare that casual players will never see them.

I mean, look what happened after Barrow's league, when it was the single best way to get a Headhunter. They added not one but *two* more layers of Div cards to make getting one that much harder while reducing the drop rate of The Doctor.

Now repeat this for whatever value they put in a map and watch target runners trash the economy of that item for everyone else.

Now, at least as it stands now, target farmers have to have the opportunity cost of trading for those maps whose price will normalize to the percentage of the value of the item that each map represents.

Second, it also allows more variance in general tolerance for maps. If a map layout for a playstyle is good and easy to target, then that playstyle will tend to overrun the league. However, if maps are varied, then players are much more likely to at least make nods towards being a little more generalist.... or again, take that opportunity cost to buy maps from other players. "But then make all mas good.." That is impossible as you can't make a map that all playstyles will be happy with.

As for the awakening bonus... yea, that kind of sucks but it was easy to see coming. Staying in 15/16 was too easy and 14 too hard. I would have much more preferred they eliminated the +1 map level from it and replaced it with increased map drop percentage from the boss, but whatever.
hmmm isn't the removing of "x% chance for Maps to drop one tier higher" a huge map drop nerf? or am i missing something that balances that out?

Cant say Im happy about the map drop change from awakened bonus. As long as some maps are more rare than others, selling them still has alot of value. IMO not a needed change. But that being said not tested with it affecting the master instead. Also not a huge fan of having to farm maps thats way to low level cos no maps at the level the charecter is for. There is already alot of other more fun stuff to grind, than grind maps so you can grind the maps you want so you can farm the fun stuff.

If AW 8 can juice up maps more Im all for, geting more packs I wouldnt say no to.
how many leagues we must wait to have new melee skills? Legion cant even be called the "melee league", it was something more like "cyclone league".

atlas mission before was 40%

now it is 35%, and bonus is now not a bonus anymore, but now is a penalty

if you haven't finished 70 awakener objectives, you have 5% less chance to get an atlas mission

this is horrible design...

about the influence changes, in your picture you show 3 icons, but you keep mentioning a bar with 5 7 or 9 levels, wut ??

you make stuff even more confusing than before, at least before it was pure random, now it is random and confusing..

please hire a senior UX game designer, you need one ASAP

there is no way you'll attract casuals or even new players to the genre if you keep being so butthurt about your broken designs, including the trash flask system that needs to go ASAP

a fask that tripple your damage has no place in an ARPG where it's about character development, NOT ABOUT DOPING!
