Changes to the Atlas of Worlds in Path of Exile: Delirium

that's great that you mention completing map T15 will gives us back all maps up to T14 back, my question is how do we get T16 maps back ???????? previously I always had to do them all again because I couldn't kill Shaper or Elder, that was not a big deal ,there were not that many of them , but now if I have to do them all again I'm done playing .
Thanks a lot GGG, you ruined my day and I don't say this often.

Completing a high-tier map will complete all maps one tier below the map that you completed. For example, completing a Tier 15 Map will complete all maps up to Tier 14.

"Its dead Jim". SSF map sustain on standard is toast.

???????

map sustain in ssf is completely insane. Have you played last league?
Nerfing map drops is a gigantic mistake GGG, not all of us have POE as a full time job. Please think about it, Metamorph was really fun in that regard.
"We're making a few changes to Awakening Level bonuses. Your Awakening Level will be set per four Watchstones that you have socketed in your Atlas. This means that you can have four Watchstones socketed in four different regions and you'll have Awakening Level 1. This should result in players having an Awakening Level that gradually increases as they journey through the Atlas, rather than almost all of the levels coming much later."

Thats bad though... I cant level up maps in zones im not running now. They will be stuck in low tiers if I dont want high awakener level. So sustaining high tiers will be alot harder and more punishing for low awakener farmers.

You remove the versatility of awakener levels and force us to do the most difficult maps. Maybe thats your plan but for me it kills alot of the enjoyment of what awakener levels could do.

Garbage changes and a massive nerf to actually having fun while mapping for once.

What a joke.

Edit; Honest suggestion, delete this post and pretend it didn't happen.

Lol - did any of you guys actually expect anything different from TenCent?

If you legit did expect something different, you have a lot to learn.

Increasing the grind keeps people playing, and keeps that $$$ flowing in (extra tabs, character slots, MTXs, etc).

Every time TenCent increases the grinding requirement, they make more money. That will hold true until people completely stop giving them any money whatsoever, for an extended period of time.

Which of course will never happen, so expect more grind, expect more chase, expect more bugs, expect more complexity and superficial layers of "difficulty" ad infinitum.

PoE 2 will be even worse. So if you hate the direction of the game, plan on hating it for a LONG time.

Otherwise, play it and have fun where you can.
Generally positive changes here.

3,9 was the first league I didn't feel punished for not going a 'grind one map only' strategy.

I've done the shaped Atlas strategy a couple times and each time I've gotten bored and quit the league.

Glad to see this remain. The remaining bugs allowing single map strats should be fixed prior to 3.10

I do want to see Harbinger and Horizon orbs fixed.

Would it be too much to have a Horizon orb preserve octant and number of watchstones (e.g. a tier 16 Tower map is Lira Arthain and 4 watchstones, so it could Horizon into any 4 watchstone Lira Arthain map - T14 Relic Chambers being a possibility)? Harbinger orbs could then add one watchstone level.

Honestly this game has been patching heavily towards only heavy-core users and demeriting light-users.
will not buy new supporter pack and probably will not gonna play new league.
I hate blizzard but hope D4 hits you hard and realize this game is going downhill. I don't even remember when was the last league I played with joyness with my own build. nowadays other than confiremd "builds" by core players, almost not worth wasting time.

GGG still destroying player base losing huge player and will do more dont worry they will get what did they do to player base when other games out
Very happy our team at GGG have listened and are implementing updates that should make the Atlas feel a little better to engage.

However, I'm not 100% this is the solution I was after. It sounds ok, but it also sounds like it leaves a lot on the table regarding how we are dropping maps / what maps we are dropping.

I was hoping there might be something coming that would even out map drop rates across all maps. Dropping maps in general is fine, however Metamorph has curved what maps are dropping. Previously I liked that I could run the maps I enjoyed and not be forced to run the maps I don't enjoy (more than a few times). With the way maps drop currently, I feel I am forced to run 5+ maps I don't enjoy to be able to run 1 map I enjoy.

Without changes to curve this, I feel like to enjoy the game, I might need to avoid the Atlas as much as possible. Playing in Delve mostly, and maybe just purchasing maps instead of dropping them, to run the enjoyable ones and avoid the others.
