Sirus fight is making me quit POE

yep i am in the same problem of this being nigh on impossible on xbox.

watching youtube videos of this fight has me being able to work out the mechanics but his attacks are instant and are instant death. its really shit.

Even if some streamers tell you otherwise, you should give anti-corrupted blood jewels a try if you are going to attempt him again.

I agree the process of getting there is not worth it, but the Sirus fight itself has chance to drop Awakened gems and Awakener's Orb. Even the conquerors have a chance to drop Awakened gems and their signature exalted orbs. Bar the Heist league mechanic exploits with the imprints and deep delving, I'm also curious to know what other encounters give better drops.

Sirus fight should really have more doors
The biggest bullshit fight i ever seen.
Camera, Performance, bugs, one shot out of sight, most time i stay and wait in any corner and so on, thats not a fun fight, thats the biggest bullshit crap fight 2020.


ya know what i think is bullshit? the entire watchstone system of confusion how are you supposed to progress in maps when you add a watch stone and suddenly you have a teir 14 beach map? GET RID OF THE WATCH STONES AND MAKE MAP PROGRESSION LIKE IT USED TO BE YOU FARMED MAPS TO DROP MAPS OF THE NEXT TEIR WHY THEY ADDED THIS? MECHANIC IS BEYOND ME

this fight is proof no one at GGG even plays their own game. 32 maps to fight this dude and he just sits in a storm the whole fight. Think you can just barely get under him with your dash? oh! you better hope the game doesn't stutter like it always does and end up double dashing you into a storm.

1. Spent several minutes waiting for the fight to start. Seemed to get caught in a loop of the volcano explosions & Rain of Stars. Could not get the fight to trigger no matter how many times I ran underneath him. Eventually get 1-shot to one of the volcano explosions with no audio cue.
2. Come back to the fight, and it actually starts this time. Sirus keeps instantly phasing every time I hit him. Comes down from his chair, gets hit, immediately goes back up. Repeat. Eventually whittle him down to ~1/3 hp. Takes forever. Giant pain in the ass. At some point, storms block me in up on the section above the stairs. Can't escape the lightning storm that 1-shots me.
3. Hear the audio cue for Sirus's 'Die' beam, so I flame-dash away -- right into his avatar's volcano explosions. The only safe area is back the way I came. I flame-dash back -- right into the die beam. 15-20 minutes into the fight and I've had maybe 30 seconds of actual gameplay.
4. Get stuck behind three storms surrounding the entrance. Run to the upper gap; storm A & B overlapping. Run to the lower gap; storm B & C overlapping. Run back to the upper gap and wait. Nothing. Run back to the lower gap. There's a tiny sliver of space between storms B & C, but not enough to get by without risking another death. Run back to the upper gap. Nothing. Wait. The storms are supposed to move, right? Run back to the lower gap. None of the storms have moved. It's been at least 3 minutes of just waiting. I risk the sliver of space. Sirus comes down from his chair. He says, 'Die.' I flame-dash away. Right into his avatar's lightning storm. It 1-shots me. I alt-f4. 20-30 minutes of a boss fight, maybe 2% of which was spent actually engaging the boss.


2nd fight of of this shitass league. 1st fight ended with all 6 deaths in the final phase w/ a corrupted blood jewel.

1. 1-shot to Rain of Stars. Literally nothing on my screen. The visual cue appears 2-3 seconds after my death.
2. 1-shot to Rain of Stars again. I don't know if I was lagging or what, but the visual cue appeared and it popped before I could flame dash away.
3. Same thing as 2, but with the volcanoes this time. Visual cue, try to flame dash, die before I can click the button.
4. ??? It was in the final phase and total fucking bullshit, that much I remember.
5. I know I'm lagging now, but I've wasted half a level of XP already so I decide to dash my dumbass against the rocks one more time. Sirus does his 'Die' beam, and I flame dash away. I get away . . . and then get teleported back to where I initially flame-dashed and get stomped like I was fuckin desynched or some shit.
6. I get back to the fight, the game lags, I watch a frozen screen, the game unfreezes, my character runs into a flame jet volcano-thingy, and falls over.

The last two are whatever -- the dangers of playing an online game with the potential to lag. I mean, they pissed me off as much as the others, but 95% of that is the previous deaths putting me on tilt. None of the other boss fights in the game are this much of a shitshow. Except Catarina, I guess. Both are just a clusterfuck of poor design.

I would pay money for a hidden boss that was basically an animated pile of doors for novelty of the joke alone . all of its attacks are movement impairing
