Sirus fight is making me quit POE
This, most certainly, will be my last season playing PoE like I'm used to. Sirus has totally ruined my enjoyment and eagerness to complete everything and consistenly farm end-game. It's a broken mess, and it doesn't seem like they are doing anything about it, actually they are making him harder. To me, that's just them being arrogant; "Don't like the sirus fight, how about we make it harder? stop complaining!" The fact that they are just ignoring the feedback and not even adressing the broken mess it is and admitting it needs adjustment is just insulting. 0/10 for the community/dev team's handling of this sirus shitfest since 3.9

Did sirus last night. And was doin ok till he started teleporting away. Then it repeat deaths trying to get to him or find him. It is the only boss in the game where area is large enough that you lose total track of him. It is the most poorly designed fight ever in any arpg. Before i started it i thought of just killing all the portals but i hate walking away from a fight...so to speak....i shoulda listened to the inner-me

Just had my second experience with this boss. Wow, that's all I can say.
First time I'll admit I was new to the fight and needed to learn mechanics. This time? Mechanics didn't play into it at all. Just completely obnoxious teleportation and death beams. Every death came from a beam in the 4th phase from off screen. I'm playing a baron summoner with over 10k ehp and capped resists. How is it that its ok to be one-shot by an off-screen beam that might as well be hit scan its so fast? Does GGG really hate minions now? The obnoxious giant bubbles shred through the bad ai minions if they step in for even a second or two. Lost a near unkillable animated guardian to this because degen damage might be the worst balanced thing they ever came up with. I haven't rage quit a game since I was a kid but this was the fastest I've ever uninstalled a game. All that time and effort unlocking Sirus for the second time was a complete waste. Thanks GGG, after 7 years of ups and downs this league was the last straw, I'll be waiting for D4. |

I always skip him after once going to to see whats up there.
Its a dumb, completely failed construction of endgame. I will maybe buy service to do that for me for the challenge, won´t ever try this shit fight again though. GGG screwed it too far with combination of phased & randomly blocking shit with one-shot mechanics. No, thanks. |

Just tried to fight him the 2nd time and failed the 2nd time ... the first time I wasn't very aware of the mechanics of the fight but after improving my character a bunch and looking more into the mechanics (not alone all the work involved in getting to him again) I was optimistic about trying again.
Got him down till about 20% HP and then I just kept getting oneshot by death beams from off screen. I don't actually mind the mechanics of the fight that much, I think they could actually be fun IF it wasn't for the pretty much unavoidable one shots. As it is now, it's no fun, it's just stupid, it is making me feel like putting all that time and currency into my build is completely pointless and it's frustrating to the point of me just wanting to shut down the game and go play something more reasonable. I guess there are still other fun parts of the game to enjoy for now but I honestly don't know how many more attempts of a fight that feels simply unfair instead of challenging I can stomach. |

I have beaten Sirus many times last league, this league with same build, almost same gear, i failed all 6 portals only to:

I don't know about you guys, but the only thing that is so dangerous about Sirus is his stupid fucking wall...
Having claustrophobia and anxiety really didn't do well in that fight. Friendship with Path Of Exile has ended. Now [Insert a video game title here] is my best friend.

he would probably be fine as is if he just stood still for a moment and stopped teleporting away all the time. The huge death laser in last phase also needs to be telegraphed, since he sometimes just fires it without saying anything. Already tried him twice on a CoC build. Second try was going very well since i did first phase deathless, but then the laser show started and i just couldnt get any damage in.
Another feedback: the wall labyrinths are very hard for me to navigate since the walls seem to have more or less the same color as the ground (troublesome to see the exits). Also when he walls you in (the long lane one) it is not clear for when where the exit actually is. but this might be me missing something. maybe you can just follow his voice. I do actually like the first phase of the fight tho, everything is telegraphed nicely and i did personally have no issues with the storms and the framerate. This could be a really cool fight. Maybe make him spawn in some minions before the last phase to help refill flasks? Another cool idea for the last phase would be to surround the player with a bunch of his clones, that sometimes charge up individually to target the player, all while you dodge the real sirus running around with his lazors. But, maybe just remove the huge death lazor and teleporting back and forth. its a bit annoying ngl |
