Sirus fight is making me quit POE

The major gripes I have with the fight are when some borderline cases occur. E.g.

- inbetween phases sometimes he likes to chill out near the edge of the arena in amongst lots of static clouds. When/if you can trigger his next phase, the clouds don't move out of the way in time for your to dodge the first mechanic (I still had clouds covering a third of a triple meteor circle when the meteor hit).

- I had an instance where, for some reason, he spawned 5 dynamic clouds (across five phase changes) instead of 3, which made navigating to him eventually impossible.

- Pathing can be a bit finnicky when trying to get out of the Meteor. The exit can sometimes be right up against the arena circle (degen), which makes it tough to survive.

- When logging out becomes the best way to beat a mechanic, it just feels bad.

- As a summoner, having your zombies/spectres be attracted to the clouds like a moth to the flame is highly frustrating.

---------------

Things I would change about the fight:

- Make the storm/cloud radius size change based on the Awakener level and the damage a bit more forgiving at the earlier Awakener levels, to allow people new to the encounter to learn/see the mechanics. Obviously scale the likelihood of loot based on difficulty to de-incentivise farming lower Awakener level speed farming.

- Make the pre-placed clouds have more static location, rather than a small roaming wobble causing pathway blockages.

- Make it so the third-tier meteor ring cannot be right up against the edge of the arena.

- Make the aggro radius of the storms slightly smaller.

- Make the damage radius of the storms match the graphic

- Add bad luck protection (if isn't already in place) for proccing influence.
I'm realy mad now, realy GGG? I normaly master any of chaneling skills, i done all boss mechanics easy, kill all the bosses to this day... try sirius noe 4 times, 2x blade flurry and 2x incinerate (incinerate 7.8khp and toons of block). And i must say:

PROS:

I realy enjoy mechanics when You fight him, all his beams, walls, meteors and any other shit can be 2x faster and i will handle this.

BIG PILE OF SHEIT (Like some pirate said)

That storm are realy anoying, 4 times i block a way to go to him, always get kill of him, i know some players kill him, but this is players who play a lot... make this storm more easy for palyers who has something else to do beyond the playing game... realy it's most broken mechanic, I die many times on uber elder, shaper and uber atziri before i learn them to kill and it was ok because i seen my bad moves, here... this is just a joke. I thinking about leave this game, cause You going a little to far now...

ANYWAY! It's not a Dark Souls or bloodborne, so stop going this way...
Among many problems, the arena is just way too dark. The Shaper's arena is nicely lit and I can see what's going on. I can see when an attack is incoming, and I know where to avoid the degens (because I put them into the corner).

Meanwhile this Sirus fight is like playing a video game while legally blind. I need brightness and contrast settings to be made available and it needs to be cranked to an ungodly level if I'm to have a chance at "learning" this encounter. An amazing letdown considering the Atlas rework hype. It's way too visually busy.

I actually think that's a little unfair to Dark Souls and Bloodborne. I beat all of those blind, just by learning the encounters and practicing them through repetition. Felt difficult but fair. This fight, I immediately hit the internet to try and understand what the hell is actually happening.

I think a better comparison would be old school MMO endgame content. Puzzly (and often unintuitive) things that pioneers figure out how to pass or skip and then circulate via social media.
I beat him on awakening level 3. Died/Logged out 3 times iirc. I think these were the things that helped vs first couple times:

- Lowered awakening level from 5 to 3. Not sure whether this affects his damage, but it lowers his hp by 6% which I guess is something.
- More favorable chaos storms. There were a couple close calls and I think I would have been screwed if I died after the last storm since it was between the entrance and myself. I also logged out immediately when cornered or on death to make sure the minions didn't trigger any weirdness. I expect eventually I'll figure out a rehearsed route to run each storm via youtube or whatever.
- Took forbidden taste, saturated eternal health pot, a hallowed hybrid, and a mana flask (I'm MoM). I have a blood of the karui I probably should have taken but I forgot. I also took the pantheons that gave me life flask charges over time and a basalt (it seems like a lot of his beams do phys from the stat dump). Bleed/Freeze coverage x 2. One bleed was on an enduring mana so it had uptime. There were definitely times when I was dipping into the third flask so I think that all of the health and mana sustain helped. The storms chew up a lot of life just running past them.
- The minions surround and taunt him and so it seems kind of unpredictable where he will actually fire beams. And then there are the beams and meteors that happen off screen during the chaos storm phase that seem pretty hard to anticipate. I imagine a non-minion build with a decoy totem has a muccccch easier time managing the beams. Anyways, being able to tank the hits and afford the flask charges seemed helpful for my build.
- I'm not sure since it doesn't appear in the stat dump but I think the chaos storms do chaos damage when you are running past them and still taking damage? I bumped up my chaos resistance to 50% from 0 or so and that seemed to help a lot with not losing all my health just running near the storms.
- Spectres, zombies, golems all ended themselves instantly in the storms, lol. So RIP I guess if you rely on those.
- Think CI builds probably do pretty well on this fight due to the chaos immunity and quick regen of energy shield, so that gear is probably going to be pretty expensive. I think the sweet spot is enough life/ES to survive two beams after your reduction and enough sustain to keep you topped off in between and after running past chaos storms. I have ~6000 hp, MoM, about 2000 ES after spirit offering, and a shield. If you're rich I imagine you can just tank all of the Sirus stuff and just need to manage the storms.

Updated thoughts from my last post:
- Still think it's visually murky.
- Not sure how significant awakening level affected fight, but perhaps having some signposting or thing to steer players into trying it with lower awakening first might help learn the fight.
- The fight itself is kind of fun and feels like I have agency, the chaos storm bits are the parts where I'm not sure what the hell is going on sometimes and just praying for the best. There was at least one instance where a storm was nearly underneath him and he was firing meteors at me and I wasn't sure what to do so I just YOLOed underneath him and it seemed to work out, and then at least another time like that where I died and I can't really say I understand what was mechanically happening either time.
- I expect that there is a rehearsed route to run each storm that people are/will be running that will make that part of the encounter rote.
- I think bad stuff can happen with the storms if you linger around when stuck or let your minions linger after death and it's best to log right out asap.

Still cant manage to spawn him a third time due to the fackt that influences just dont spawn. After over 70 hours in, i manged to spawn him once.

The secons time I fought him some random bullshit killed me due to the fact that this fight is utter garbage (for description see the very good posts above)...

I dont know how you ever can complete the endgame grind if your are not even able to spawn him more often on your own. I guess its just for streamers nowadays and not for people anymore that just can not afford to grind 24/7 or do not have a large enough fanbase to lear the fight on their own.

Ggg realy fucked up about that and tge fact they are not even replying to what we write is more demorelicing then anything in this game.

I am close to bricking my headhunter and leaving this game for good, since the ignorance of this company realy sucks the fun out of this game.

Guess the chinese influence realy does change the way they behave?

Lets try that, maybe then they replay > free Hongkong?

They have been addicted to pitch black stages and unseeable ground aoes for years now.

lmao I literally rolled a Nebuloch Jugg just to ignore most of the mechanics of the fight including meteors with well timed molten wall. The fight's actually dumb.

did the same... but this fucker got me again... these mechanics are realy dumb and who came up with those deserves a payment cut or needs another job at this company. Just not the same job he can fuck up as bad as he did with that mechanic...

After killing him three times with lvl 8 awakaners. i can say that he's already on farm mode after you get used to his BS mechanics. But honestly, deciphering which all the clutter on the ground so you don't get degen to death is annoying as hell.
