I would rather crash when throwing the dynamite than getting these fps problems.

This all the way. Before last patch at least I could play everything if I didnt blew up walls.

Now, I can't play anything at all.
Also happening for me since today's patch.
Specs:
Win7 64bit
8GB RAM
Intel Core i5-2500K
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 (Driver Version: 26.21.14.3086)

Memory steadily increases until game crashes or the screen turns black and the game has to be killed manually.
Happened to me twice today, once in Crater map and once after boss in Iceberg map, fps goes from 60 down to 20-40 range and keeps jumping around. If I continue to play eventually game crashes with black screen.

Intel Core i7-2600k @ 3.40GHz
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 (Driver Version: 26.21.14.3086)
I'm on Windows 10 but I'm getting what I assume are the same symptoms. Made a thread about this the other day, "glad" to see it's not just me.

As with others, I start to notice a bit of very light stutter after a few minutes of play, and it quickly accelerates to essentially unplayable levels where I have to just quit. Haven't left it long enough to see if the game crashes or what.

Running the 64-bit client.

Windows 10 Home
i7-3770
8GB RAM
GTX 660

This was definitely happening before 3.9.0e, because I was hoping that patch might have had a fix. But it's something that's changed since the start of the league, because this wasn't happening on launch day.

Win 7 64-bit
i5-6600
32GB RAM
GTX 760

Performance was fine before the most recent patch.
After the patch I get 10 fps in maps and 1 fps when viewing the passive tree.

Time to work on Factorio :)
Having the same issue here i think. Was able to do maybe 30-45 min of flawless delve/map gameplay until i opened a dig map where my fps tanked into a constant 10-30 range. Restart fixed it.

Specs:
Win7 64-bit
GTX 980

Same here. It takes some time to happen but any intensive encouter sure to trigger (I am now skipping Cassia)

Win7 64b
i70-3720QM 2.6GHz
16GM RAM
NVidia NVS 5200M

I can report the same issue.
