It's almost 2020(Now its actually 2020) - Lets have Male and Female versions of all classes.

I don't even know what this thread is about anymore, lmao. The last few pages have been wall to wall garbage on BOTH sides of the argument, so I'm just going to respond to the original post.

OP wants more options for character customization. Cool, and a good idea... if you're somehow blind to the state of the last several league launches and general state of modern POE.

As things are in the real world, I have to disagree with this, very strongly, because GGG already runs too fast and lean on programmers to release leagues in a fully functional state.

Maybe a year or two from now, if GGG actually manages to polish and debug and re-balance the many mechanical systems desperately in need of attention, I could get behind them putting a few people on this. But... no. Not right now, not at ALL. Cosmetic options are nice little extras... but that's all they are. EXTRAS. They don't impact gameplay. And gameplay is ALWAYS more important than not-gameplay.

There was only one side to that argument and its always the same garbage no matter the thread/topic because the person posting it isn't here to discuss anything rather to stir the pot and nothing more, kind of hard to have an argument when the presented one is nonexistent.

I don't disagree that there are more important things to work on, i stated in the OP that this should be a long term goal as there are many more important things^.

and since i bumped the thread to a new page here is Fruz's reply to your post below.

As much as I agree that there are pressing things to take care of in PoE atm :

- People creating models are not the ones solving the bugs. You need programmer to implement a customization interface ( = character creator ), but creating models of the other (physical) gender ( read : male or female here ) and animating them isn't going to make bug solving delayed imo.

- They are not a small team in a garage anymore, if there is a management problem with PoE, it's a different topic all together

- The OP specifically said that this wasn't something he wanted right away or realistically though would come soon. The fact that the game is not in a great state is known already, it's bad, I fully agree, the agressive release schedule with the balance strategy that GGG has been using is terrible to me, but it's not what this thread is about.

also, AGAIN, YOU are the one who argued this and now you don't like your statements getting focus so you blame me/others for... YOUR statements?

this is just like the spectre threads.

You are the one who is bringing it up repeatedly, I simply stated it would be best not to use a term 3 pages ago and that besides the reason i gave that it is illogical to call the witch anything other than a witch because male witches are a thing and it would have been the only class not to have its name changed.

If you keep bringing it up then you are clearly violating the following code of conduct:

● Disrupt forum or chat use for others

Taking the most obscure things in a topic and turning it into 10 pages of nonsense, this will come to an end mark my words.

This topic is about adding male and female alternatives for the base character classes and that is all it is about, If you can't discuss that and are going to make several pages of this thread about something irrelevant then you are 100% violating the above code of conduct.

...again, you're doing EXACTLY that which you're complaining about. and far moreso than anyone else in this thread. perhaps everyone else.

let me get this straight - i REPLY (often with quotes) to things you say and it's... MY fault that you said them? as if things you said shouldn't be replied to because it's off-topic when it's from another account, but not from yours?

you're the one that brought these things up and you're the one that doubled-down, instead of just owning up/admitting you were wrong/it was silly.

you complain further about the very conversation you started and still engage in.

ffs, you repeatedly stated that you want me banned for... what, stating facts? that's all i've done. with definitions, no less. ie: evidence to support (because apparently, this was somehow needed. because apparently, people here think that witches are real)

number of spells angry witches cast on me for stating that they don't exist: 0
number of witches offended by the word "warlock" : 0
current (updated) number of witches that exist on earth: 0

I saw his post, but thanks all the same.

I guess I mostly agree with the spirit of the thread then (originally at least, before people started bickering over CLASS NAMES which is probably the pettiest and stupidest thing anyone could waste their time debating because it absolutely doesn't matter, at all, the end), but with a far less degree of urgency. Because honestly... as nice as a full character creator is to have in any game, I would be furious if they came out with one next patch without fixing far more pressing issues first.

...i did not state that you "explicitly" stated such. so apparently, you lied.

but since you just implicitly accused me of making multiple lies - care to cite ONE?

exactly how many unfounded (and citation-less) accusations are you planning on making? you still never cited any from the spectre threads, and now you're accusing me of multiple lies?

Since when, ever, ever has the argument “the change you proposed shouldn’t be a top priority for devs given their workload” stopped anyone in this forum from throwing out ideas?

The point is for people to give feedback, which often includes wants and desires. Like the OP, I want and desire gender options for the 7 selectable characters.

Maybe it’s not a priority and it’s certainly not more important than many more desperately needed changes/fixes. Maybe GGG already has this planned for 4.0 or maybe it will never happen. Still a reasonable thing to want and would improve the game.

Character customization, including gender customization, is fun. That’s it. Plus there may be industry research suggesting it generates revenue; who knows.

If gender selection had existed since the beginning there’d be no controversy. So is this really just an argument about GGG’s workload, which none of us are qualified to talk about? Or just an excuse to yell at each other because thats how one plays the forum game? I’m going with the latter in this case.
We're all in this leaky boat together, people.
