A quick question on throwing mines.
How are people throwing so many down so quickly, I can do the quick stack of mac mines for a boss but then if I need to place more I can normally get around 5 down before I have to move again and place another 5.
Do i need place and detonate then place and detonate or place move place move place move detonate

Mana reservation nodes and enlighten. This league you will need to drop one of the 25% auras until you have an enlighten 4.

First tip would be to avoid this guide, because OP has no idea what he is talking about. To increase your damage, you need support skills. These are wave of conviction, bear trap (25% increased damage taken, not increased damage, is a huge damage boost), sniper's mark/conductivity and blade blast.
Early on, you can just use wave of conviction and call it a day. For BL, I would typically link it with hextouch + conducitivty. Later on, you have two choices.
1. A good wand with an open suffix, craft trigger socketed spells. Use bear trap, wave of conviction and conducitivity/sniper's mark. Easy peasy. Note, I have not used bear trap in this setup, if it works definitely use it, if not use blade blast for unnerve.
2. Arcanist brand in 4L setup with those skills, just use it against bosses.
Sniper's mark / conductivity, bear trap and wave of conviction will provide you with a massive DPS boost.
Another skill people seem to be using is sigil of power, in a trigger wand setup. Not something I have tried, but worth checking out. The blasphemy / enfeeble use of curse is probably better suited for HC.
Edit: Additional changes required for significantly more damage.
1. Transcendent flesh in the top left jewel socket below Faith and Steel.
2. Mark of the shaper ring, pair it with a high res elder ring (get any res you need on here, an ES roll is handy too)
3 Crown of the Inward eye is a no brainer in trade league.
lol okay. I would say 400+ pages of comments say something different.
Also, the comment on the trigger wand makes me believe you really are unsure of some of the finer game mechanics as the build cant reliability trigger all three spells on a single target.

This is my first ever LL character and third miner(1st one was tremor rod + Kaom BL in Delirium, 2nd was CI at Harvest). So far survivability feels much better compared to those two, though I do feel like I'm lacking damage for some Maven-related content.
Yesterday I was unable to outdps Chimera regen with +40% res mod, while it was affected by Maven. Ended up running out of mana flask charges and asking my friend for help.
Today finished Maven's invitation for Shaper guardians relatively smoothly, only with 1 death.
Btw using Skitterbots with Infernal Legion support to benefit from Explosives Expert, so guess I could use Elemental Focus for some additional damage?
TLDR: What I did wrong and how can I make my miner to pass Maven DPS checks, preferably without spending hundreds of exalts?
Few quick things:
1. Dropping infernal legion on skitterbots and picking up either conductivity blasphemy or aspect of the spider and picking up fire damage on a ring will be a very nice boost.
2. Boot enchant can easily add 10% more dps.
3. Your suffix on the wand need fixing. grab the res from somewhere else and get crit multi. Trigger socketed spell is an option, but less consistency than the crit multi.
As far as pyro is concerned, its similar in terms of boss dps at the mid-level of gear.

Hi,
I've 2 builds. One setup with BL and one with Pyro.
The pyro indeed seems to have more dmg in maps and doesn't feel as clunky as I feared but there is one issue.
Why do I deal so little dmg to Sirius with Pyro? I mean with BL I had less dmg in maps but did better against Sirius.
Is it the "66% Less Curse Effectiveness" and "50% ele res" and why do I notice such a big difference between BL and Pyro?
Any ideas?
Can't see the pyro gear, but your BL gear is pretty good. If the pyro gear is similar, you should be doing comparable dps to sirus, if not better. It may be a positioning thing as pryo can be kinda wonky at times.

Ok, so mana reservation nodes will help speed up placing mines ?
I am currently only able to run akitterbots and ensemble so far as do not have the mana res to run, discipline, wrath or zealotly.
Just hit act 10 aswell and sitting at 1.9kes and 1k life

Oh, i misread that. No, they help get out more mines.
For the speed, you just need levels.

First Mine Build here and I didn't have any problems following your guide (even though I feel that I've had stronger league starts), so thank you for the guide!
Transition -> CI -> LL was smooth and build feels strong so far on a 5L Shavs
It'll not come up for a few days for me at least, but I've got a question regarding the Helmet Enchantment. The guide says that the best enchant for bossing is the slower speed, but does that even exist anymore? Wouldn't increased AOE be better?
And I don't really understand why "BL fires an additional projectile" wouldn't be even better, because it should double the damage?

Damage, best bet for cheap will be boot enchant. Penetration or added lighting will both be a 10% more multiplier.
After that, new jewels, a watchers eye, and bottled faith are on the list. You should be doing pretty well on the gear now though.
For ES, simply getting more on each piece is what you are looking at. % rolls are possible as well on jersey.
