@towers and EE; I'm assuming fire and cold do extra damage from your EE procs just like the zombies/skeletons. I mean, I get the question, the towers don't proc EE, like previously noted. I think they do extra damage from our EE?
Zombie on! Also, this build is awesome. Having a blast with it. Last edited by TheStabbie#6805 on Sep 29, 2019, 1:20:41 PM

" " Thanks a lot for all the feedback! Will try to consider it, but so far I'm mostly just unlucky and try to get better items, before I play around with colors and slots. Btw., what is about that one here? |

@firderis
I'm approaching 91 now and imho as I start to get an idea of what gear works, nothing beats a good rare convoking wand. I foresee the only unique I'll be wearing is my golem ring. ...and possibly the amulet will be unique. |

" I played with that early on in this build, I will tell you that your skeletons will pop very fast. If your minions have no additional resistances from your skill tree, ascendancy nodes, or skill gems like Purity of Elements, then your minions all have a base 40% in all resistances. This means that your minions pop from Infernal Legion's Burning DOT dropping their health to 35% triggering Minion Instability in @4 seconds. If you equip Earendel's Embrace, then the skeletons take additional Burning DOT, so they will only last 2-3 seconds before popping. That's not really all that useful save as pure Skeleton Bombs, but they may not actually have time to get close enough to an enemy to damage them when they pop. Additionally, the Avatar of Fire is almost worthless on them in this build since they likely won't have a chance to attack before popping and causes skeletons to do LESS damage per attack because of enemy Fire Resistance. Giving your minions more Fire Resistance will reduce the Burning DOT from both Infernal Legion and Earendel's Embrace, but they still pop really quick! At gem level 20, following this build exactly, they would take 2,370 damage per second while having 13,741 life. This means they would pop in 5-6 seconds. Without that weapon, they would pop in 10 seconds. Infernal Legion would deal 11k+ damage per second for a total of more than 113k damage normally. Earendel's Embrace would enhance the Infernal Legion damage to 12k+ but cause them to pop after only doing 70k+ damage; a net loss of nearly more than 40k damage. Even if they manage to hit and cover an enemy in ash immediately upon spawning so that the enemy takes 20% more fire damage they would only do a total of 105k+ damage from infernal legion before popping. It's only worth it if they manage to hit a second time, at which point they would do nearly 130k damage. They can only do damage via attacking every 2 seconds, so they could theoretically do a total damage of 154k+ damage via 3 attacks and Infernal Legion DOT over 5-6 seconds with the Earendel's Embrace before popping versus a theoretical 315k+ damage via 5 attacks and Infernal Legion DOT over 10 seconds without it. It's not worth it in my opinion, even with the 30% damage bump to your other minions you still end up reducing your skeleton damage by almost half. " Thanks for that amazing text, in which you did explain all I have to know. I really appreciate it! |

Welp it's been a while since I've been here. Really interesting changes to the whole build since i last played as well!
Just hit 45 so by all means take this with a grain of salt: I tried and tried to get CWDT to proc often and actually hit anything to proc EE, I couldn't do it. To squishy to survive it. Swapped to self cast lightning ball and that made it a lot smoother, stayed at max range/offscreen. That being said! Either needs GMP as has been suggested or increased area of effect gem to really shine i feel. Has anyone tried this with Lightning Warp? Movement skill + lightning damage in an aoe. (Plan to try this at some point my self) At the moment plan on going for the Fortify Boots + Shield Charge/WW setup and a Summon Holy Relic like the old build used to. Currently using Shield Charge with out fortify and super tanky as long as Summon Holy Relic buff is up so not sure why that got dropped for the CWDT setup. Basically Charge in to proc EE and Holy Relic Buff, spam skele's till Holy Relic is about to drop than charge out/next pack and repeat. Honestly don't even need to summon skele's can just charge through enemies for EE then let Zombies mow em down. Keep Vaal Skele's for bosses/blights/etc. Got but chromas havent been kind to me for getting 4 B for skele set up. May try dropping Minion Instability on the tree and Infernal Legion Gem from Skele set up for an increased duration gem if i can get 3B1R... Also if you check my character, I need to start getting resist gear so i don't get nuked during blights/bosses but are so good for lvling! |

" I have, in fact, played with CWDT and Lightning Warp. I'm currently leveling a novel build idea that requires 1 specific unique item to work and my early play used that. I don't recommend it, however. When it procs, it will target on where your mouse cursor is, if you are spawning minions on top of the boss, then you warp to the boss. This resulted in several near death moments for the build, which I am proud to say has had only 4 deaths! 1 when I had to leave the PC suddenly to help someone, and 3 times when I fell asleep! I'm unfortunately dealing with the flu right now and combined with the cold medicine I like, I tend to fall asleep when gaming... The build is very easy to use, just one button for the main, and then 3 for Vaal abilities. I am still waiting for some feedback from WoD on it, although I've already streamlined it quite a bit from what I sent him a few days ago. It started out as a potential Baron build, and I've still the original PoB, if you want to check it out let me know and I'll PM you the pastebin. |
