Announcing Path of Exile: Blight

Thanks GGG, looks awesome!

The art is so sweet, love the scary-sick fungus, hate to run into that in real life!
Tower defense, cool. As others said, a pleasant change of pace.

Appreciate the necro buffs :-)
(and others)

Love the Master rework too.

Very much looking forward to playing!
I Love This Game !!

Super excited for this league, will be nice to not have super teleport celestial lazer cyclone explosion 5 sec map clear builds be so op.

… hope always dies last.

well.. not sure about this "loot explosion" tho perhaps the map showcased was a mid tier but this is the "endgame" looks like: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yrPMftRZ6X4

That looks absolutely terrible.

Looks super cluttered and bad from the trailer. Already only play maps that aren't dark and cluttered with crap.

Setting up towers and fighting will be annoying too. It takes me a whole breach encounter to try and open one chest with mobs around.

I'll give it a couple days and if its as bad as the trailer made it to be, then play Borderlands 3.

master rework looks good though for 4.0
Doesn't look too bad, looks like abyss but going into all directions at the same time and with towers. Hopefully we don't have to uber zip speed around the map to do/complete everything in time, making us rely even more on speed-meta builds.

Before implementing this, like you guys experienced with bestiary and synthesis, ask yourself this first: "Can we make this easier somehow?"... for instance the net throwing, compare that to the towers. Why do players need to pick a certain tower type if the builder is right there making it on the spot? Stuff like that seems like easy QOL improvements to me.

Anyways, we'll see how it goes. Happy hunting!

Will we be able to add/place the new skillbar permanently on the UI?... Not having to switch it with our regular bar every second.
Another concern I have with a 2nd skillbar is with low skillgems required builds. These type of builds will become uber-powerful due to being able to stack many/multiple vaal soul skill-gems.

PS: And for the love of god fix goddamn flame dash for once, so we can use it freely like every other movement-skill! You guys spend alot of time 're-working' flame dash last league only to make it come out worth a lot less compared to other skills /facepalm. Especially in party-play this is a huge disadvantage, not to mention when trying to continually dodge boss mechanics and boss adds mechanics of which you guys add more and more per boss.
Interesting.

As Dark Pact really needs some love too AND is tagged a minion skill will it receive some buffs as well?
Will that channeled Summon Skeleton Gem ( https://poedb.tw/us/gem.php?n=Summon+Skeletons+Channelled ) find a way into the game?
Where elementalist and raider rework/buffs?

TD might be nice, I have mixed feeling about it, really depends on how well it will be executed. I play TD myself being dota player :).

But please don't forget about elementalist, it is my favorite class in the whole game and I am really sad see you deleted it last league i was so hoping that it will come back in blight :(

The biggest elephant in the room - performance and connectivity/lags - have again not been addressed.
I don´t even want to imagine the experience in a clustered tower defense league when you get lag-teleported every few seconds.
No thanks, GGG.

An optional peer-to-peer mode like in other games (e.g. Warframe) would solve it, but no. You chose to stick to that outdated server modes in a game where literally every split second makes the difference between life and death.

You are a bit misinformed about warframe. There is no optional Peer to Peer. While the cities, relays, and clan dojos may be handled through server all missions/levels are strictly peer to peer only for syncing (so if you get a bad host things are just plain fubar to even a worse extent than servers). You only communicate to the server while starting and ending the level unless you are doing particular things like opening relics.

That more hands off approach from the servers also makes it easier for hackers to mess with things. The reason GGG sticks to a strictly server centric approach is to give hackers hardly anywhere to put their foot in without being relatively unobtrusive/hard to detect about it. People already complain enough about bots. Hackers would be much worse if they were given the chance given the various extremely rare things in this game they could just simply force drop to throw the economy in chaos.
Tower Defense?! bah! is Tower Defense a thing in Korea?!

Zoom Leagues are much for fun!

hmmmmm idk
