Announcing Path of Exile: Blight

soooooo... what the hell is this gold letter abomination of a league.
blight is a purple skill and this is not purple. unsubscribed unfollowed 1 star review. :P

jokes aside we'll see about the league, at least it seems to have no timer bs going on, so it depends on how tanky those mobs will be compared to other encounters on the same lv.

seems to be a huge qol update for mapping in general, which seems nice, also the league mechanics don't seem like there's too much crazy complex stuff going on, so probably just small improvements over the league which always feels nice.

overall it will hopefully be a success for the balance team for once, would be nice to see casters, attackers, minion folks in the meta so nobody can complain that there's just one build to play (while there are tons of possibilities that simply aren't overpowered and therefore obviously trash...).

GGG did it again. It would've been enough for me with the Master tweak they did, but there comes the Necro rework :O and the league sounds like tons of fun! :)

Still waiting for some green MTX (not yellow-ish green tho, we've got plenty of those XD)

Make lab optional! Give us another way to get the ascendancy points we need.

The console versions mustn't have got that memo. The crashing on the PS4 version has been there since it launched with Synthesis and the de-sync from day one of Legion. Both issues remain. Not a damn was given by GGG.

ya.. I dunno about this one.. I like the changes to the masters though. But, guess I will skip league.

So the thing is, the tower defense mechanic sounds interesting, BUT.
Unfortunately, GGG is not known for making intuitive, good UI designs that involves more then smashing one button/target on the screen.
The blight interface already looks hard to manage in the middle of the fight, the screen is overwhelming, and this is just the trailer vid, witch is made to look cool... And it looks cool, you got that, but unfortunately this is not how it will work when all kind of people starts playing it.

Tooltip, ui shortcuts, additional important information is almost alway hidden/non-existent for players on first try. Then they patch it in two weeks or so, based on community feedback, but man, that 2 weeks period just frustrates people so much.

Legion was a success because it was simple enough imo. But Synthesis showed, you need to up your UX game by a lot.
Im afraid this will be the same as synthesis experience wise. Cool concept, poor execution. GGG please hire some UX and UI devs...
Yeah.. i'll give it a try, but probably i will skip this league. Got the feeling it's kinda boring, i mean i love playing hack 'n slay, if i want to play some tower defence game i can play plants vs zombies.

Whatever, maybe i'm wrong and it's kinda fun. Let's wait and see...

This league does not looks interesting to me. I will not try it. I will play the buggy Standard. GGG should do a polished league for 6 months. Every 3 months new league, in which they fix it. I will not play leagues anymore, just Standard, when I have time. Good luck to all who will play new leagues!
