TL;DR: It feels awful.

I tested a few things. Every test uses the reflect juwel.

First blood aqueduct and split arrow. I stood in front of the first pack and just shot until I got poisoned. The slow zombie walk is enough to resist vines for about 6-12 hits. Only groups blocking each other results in a poison.

Second blood acqueduct elite. When normal/fast walking there is no vines at all.
When using balistas 3 hits in a row then split shot does not result in a guranteed poison.

Third bathhouse the boss that charges around. Split arrow does not poison at all. 5-6 Ballistas shooting does not guarantee vines.

Fourth Kitava is sadly the proof it works as intended. The fourth hit always poisons.

=> Please test for yourself, but for me it feels like very very spotty poison % and therefore its a bait for this build.


Were you also testing with Scourge Arrow? Because the point was mostly that SA multihits so you get multiple vines at once. Testing with split arrow probably isnt very useful, unless it was a typo and you meant Scourge Arrow. Im going to do some tests today as well and will see.

EDIT:

Was testing in blood aqeducts wih scourge arrow and returning projectiles, and it looked mostly fine to me. Only pain point is that the vines get removed from enemies a lot faster than from players when we walk. But I go line 5/6 vines per shot on every enemy with SA and SA ballista, so that part looked fine? Downside is that some of the shots do no damage obviously, but i think for clear thats still enough?

I used split arrow in two ways. First can we keep vines on a moving target with just one attacker => No.
Second if i put down 1,2,5 ballistas do they perma keep up vines on any target. And the answer => no they do not.

I do not think that this build has space for "sometimes no damage". It already is outperformed by so much. And Darkscorn isnt bad with the inherit 60% more poison dmg and the phys as chaos. I do not think the switch is worth it.

Yea that then do not sounds like very useful testing to me, because multihits are fairly important for vinespike. For single target you will have them up with SA, and for clear I think it is fine if some enemies wont get the full damage.

But also i expected for the bow enchants to be better from league mechanic but they are kinda terrible, so Darkscorn might still be decent option, but at least from my testing it did not looked like good case for keeping it.

I will test the new setup in 1-2 days then I'll give you another feedback but I think if the boss dmg is ok then the clear dmg should be more than enough.
Hello! What about Life recovery to minions flask? It doesn't seem to be working. I just made one. It's for guardian blessing, I get it.

Yea it is for guardians blessing, what is not working about it? It should recover the holy relic HP

Ah, nah. For totems you mostly want to focus on managing your mana instead so you can spawn them more often as with the placement speed them dying is not real issue.

hey fellow Scourge enjoyers.

its my first bow build in a long time - so i get we want 3 arrows for ballista - only way is a +2 arrow bow or the +1 multishot/+1 quiver way. Is that correct or there something else ?

Well the third way is rain of splinters which is what you ideally want, but rain of splinter prices are usually all over the place
