Exception [Present]
Same issue here.
Got the "Exception Present" error while doing the uber lab. Since then I couldn't pass the login screen. I constantly get errors and the game closes itself. Tried various solutions listed in this discussion. Nothing has changed. |

Only one person in this thread seems to have checked the Windows event logs. It might be helpful is others could do the same.

" For me each time the same scenario and this specific scenario make me think that is not an "only POE" issue : 1. Two consecutive warnings "display driver nvlddmkm not answering" from windows system. This is mainly due to GPU driver version or driver conflict, TDR delay, power and thermal management. There is a procedure to add Two Registry Keys to change this TDRdelay and there are plenty of tip to improve power and thermal management of your computer from cleaning dust to underclocking. 2. Application error and crash of POE: Nom de l’application défaillante PathOfExile_x64.exe, version : 0.0.0.0, horodatage : 0x5d1596cc Nom du module défaillant : KERNELBASE.dll, version : 10.0.18362.145, horodatage : 0xef881ca4 Code d’exception : 0xe0000001 Décalage d’erreur : 0x000000000003a839 ID du processus défaillant : 0x25ec Heure de début de l’application défaillante : 0x01d531d3ef573daf Chemin d’accès de l’application défaillante : C:\Program Files (x86)\Grinding Gear Games\Path of Exile\PathOfExile_x64.exe Chemin d’accès du module défaillant: C:\WINDOWS\System32\KERNELBASE.dll ID de rapport : 9cfdda39-55a3-49da-ac46-d206589ab699 Nom complet du package défaillant : ID de l’application relative au package défaillant : Like i explained in my last post, I did clean install of both GPU driver nvidia and intel and POE, changed power management settings, and managed to reduce the temp on my GPU, played almost 10h and crashed only once. Not sure why, problem is not definitively solved, but now the game is playable. And honestly Poe has never been "crash free" for me, so i assume everything almost back to normal ! My tought is solving the "nvlddmkm" issue = preventing poe from crashing Edit : I was also experiencing huge lag and "dying GPU" (like lot of people looking at recent topics in this thread) and this issue is now totally solved, i got no lagging at all and GPU is stable, by preventing nvlddmkm error! Same problem, 3 times in the Tower zone in act 6 and then on the login screen ... not even 1 min in the game and the error occurs! Never had this problem before this last patch update!

Hello, Seven here.
I, much like all of you, had crashing issues. Mine never got the BSOD or exception crashes, but my computer would freeze, black screen, and restart. I'll get to the point. I read this thread all the way through and tried everything to no avail. Then I reached Krël's post about config after the posts about disabling MTXs. I played around, and found that moving the "Texture Filtering" to "Trilinear Filtering" was what solved my problem. I even got a full Eternal Lab all the way through. And by every account, I am a very slow Lab runner. Hope this helps someone! 7 LAST EDIT: Solved my problem. It was the video drivers. Carry on. Meditating in a darkened mist-filled room with the sounds of ambient chillstep and scents of ancient flammable spirits as I drink myself into a twisted perfect euphoria. same here always get that present thing

Too tight memory oc on afterburner caused my presents.
It might be all about over clocking on any component for some but it abviously isnt the case for all. I would definitely test it out without any oc to see if it helps. Then ofcourse if it helps its time to turn oc back up one by one to see what exactly caused the crashing. I will be back if i encounter problems in near future with this case. *edited previous post to match this statement Last edited by Kamiraasu#7495 on Jul 6, 2019, 7:58:34 AM

I had the same issue where my game would crash within 2 minutes, sometimes at the login screen. I been trying to update my drivers, windows updates, reinstall POE, run tests on my GPU, CPU and memory, but nothing seem to help. But this work around seems to work for me.
Rename or delete the production_Config.ini file. Location: %Documents%\My Games\Path of Exile\production_Config.ini Just remember this isn't a perma fix, it is just a work around. All the options will revert to the default state in path of exile when you rename or delete this file. I hope GGG will look into this issue, so it doesn't happen in the first place. |

i just had the "present" crash for the first time, while on a lava lake map.
i restarted the game and went back in. then, the whole map was revealed. makes the error message somewhat self-explanatory... and really fishy. |

It seems the exception occurs wherever near the water(falls) and only in windowed fullscreen mode. Try to switch to normal fullscreen for maps with Brine King as a boss.
