Hi!
First, thanks a lot for making those guide AND the loot filter.
Really makes it easy for me (and I guess a lot of other people) to play a fun build without getting lost in irrelevant loot.
Short question: why the move away from Charged Dash?
I loved that skill, and it made avoiding Lab traps easier.
Sure, I can still use it, but I'm curious.
Hey Xounette,
You're very welcome. I'm glad it helps! I'm really excited to sit down and play so I'll likely update the loot filters from 3.6's versions tomorrow instead of tonight ;).
I moved from Charged Dash because there was a bug with Channelling skills that made me instantly VERY dizzy. Too dizzy to play. Sometimes with channelled skills, if you got interrupted and had to start channelling again, if you kept holding down the channelled skill's button (which I would do all the time, not realizing I was getting hit too much), you'd start stuttering instead of channelling. So it'd be like the skill kept instantly starting over and over and over again and it made the screen keep jumping aggressively and quickly.
So when saw the new changes to 3.7, I figured I'd try a melee skill has more benefits to the build. One that I couldn't previously use but now maybe can in hopes that the better animation smooths the screen transitions out. The new changes may have helped CD too. So we'll see. Whatever skill lets me play the longest is the one I'll keep. I don't like making changes if I don't need to.

I got a little excited about the melee revamp because I've never played a melee character...but I keep coming back to this build!
I'm curious at how the gameplay will be different with Consecrated Path vs Charged Dash - I'll admit I've become rather spoiled by the latter.
Consecrated Path looks like it has huge movement potential. Should there be any concern about your minions being able to keep up, or am I overthinking this?
Hey Katalaeia!
I too am curious how melee will impact how our minions attack. I loved CD but I am hoping to try something that I don't have to worry about. Consecrated Path has way more benefits for this build. The con is that it has to Hit to move. I hate that. I'm not concerned about minions keeping up though. The zombies are really fast. It's a good thought for sure! Let me know what you think as you go through though (and feel free to play a melee character ;) ha ha.)
Nice to hear from you.

I think I'm going to try one, but probably as a second character. I spent waaaay too much time tweaking my loot filters for my Necros and don't want to have to start over just to start the league :)
If the zombies don't run into issues falling behind I'll definitely give Consecrated Path a go. I checked out a few videos featuring that skill and it looks like you can get some crazy speed going and I'm definitely curious.

Depending how the skill goes for me, I may even consider going with no extra movement speed on the boots. Depends how it all feels you know?

I feel you. For some reason RNGsus loves making it difficult for me to get MS on my boots, and my husband tends to play more mobile builds, so I'm just excited by the possibility of not eternally chasing after him!

Ok, so CD is still working with your build. I really like that skill and its teleport.
I'll definitely try Consecrated Path. Seems fun to use.

Again many many thanks for your guides.
Sweet. Ya, CD should work the same as it did, maybe it's even easier to use with the new melee changes. Use anything you want. The one you like the most is always going to be the best one. :-).
You're welcome! I hope you're enjoying the league.
