You also have to take into account the cost of losing ALL of the other "normal" nodes in the radius of the jewel... there's no way we can evaluate these spots without that information.

The opportunity and investment costs to make this powerful is kind of staggering. Between having to double 2 of your resists, super-max-capping fire resists (at least it's near Cheiftain start and Barbarism keystone), losing the converted node, unlocking and using up the jewel socket to convert the node.... I mean, that's some hefty investment that I'm a little skeptical of being worth they payout.
Would converted damage taken double dip into resistances, similar to converted damage dealt and elemental damages?

I'm unclear as to whether the less modifiers apply to modifiers to resistance or to the final value. Say e.g. I'm in the postgame with 80% worth of cold resistance modifiers, so the net value is 20%. Would the keystone halve that to 10%, or halve the modifiers so I'm at -20% instead? If my net resistance is negative, would the keystone halve that negative value?

Damage taken as isn't conversion. Cold damage taken as fire is resisted by your fire resistance, not your cold resistance.
i can't wait for the shitshow that will be these jewels. probably almost all of them will be crappy and good luck trying to find the right seed.

i think the best item that was shown so far was the div card that gives 10 exalts and it probably only drops from uber atziri with a chance of 1/100 while wearing no gear.

This can be a huge node for RF. I've had at least one character with 150 all res with endurance charges up. Combine that with 90% fire res and you have yourself a tank.

I really like this teaser. This is what a tradeoff keystone is supposed to fucking look Like!
