What makes you think there are more revamps and buffs to melee? This is the expansion announcement, if not here then they don't exist.


What about you dig a bit more than the 2min video wich just show a "preview" of the league aspect still in progress ?

There is a full 1h40 Baeclast video with toons of other details, and stuff still getting change and adjust in the meanwhile...

Specific gems for each melee weapon types.

Branch of specific mellee staff/dagger and specific magic staff/dagger.

Melee Targetting improvements

Animation cancelling to run away/ eade easier

Dash and dodge mechanic skills

Melee cone AoE, getting also imcrease range and visibility for it.

Block mechanic adjusted, stun increase for pure physical, armor having more impacts for bosses.

Instant cast for movement skills to improve dodge and fluidity.

Pathfinding improved, helping for shield charged and other melee stuff.

Some Melee Ascendancies revamped for the release, with auras and gems modifing the tree.

More gems still not reveals and possibly other surprised too.

The expansion looks good, a simple repeat of a well-received feature, and mechanical upgrades are always great.

Still what motivated me to write this comment is a complaint:
Who else is annoyed by the effect vomit on screen? The trailer honestly becomes off-putting as soon as there is substantial action going on... it looks cheap and over-the-top.

I really was missing the simple league mechanics and this looks kinda good, but the unfreezing part looks really tedious... I think we will get bored of it after a full day of doing that. Why not just make them attack you? Guess we'll see, but from the video it looks kinda bad.

instead of "freeing" frozen monsters it would be cool to have the mechanic more like the frozen essences.

you click it three times to release all the monsters.
if you are not strong enough you click it once and only the closest monsters to you are released.
then you click it again and the second circle of monsters released.
once you clear the 2nd wave you click it for the last time to unfreeze the outer layer of monsters, which are the strongest.

that way you can control the fight and not miss out most of the monsters simply because you cant free all of them in the given time.

yes. ggg likely wanted to make double sure, the next league isn't "complicated"
