It has been 18 months since you posted the Trade Manifesto. Do you still stand by it?
This question prompted a long discussion. Many hours of senior developers talking about trade. Our conclusion was: Yes, we do stand by everything we wrote in the manifesto. We are not adding a Trade Market to the PC version of Path of Exile.
but chinese realm have trademarket tho.

Every time I think "it's time run this game again", I'm reminding myself about the trade - this banishes stupid ideas from my head.

As a player who wants to delve and only Delve, is there any way to reduce the reliance on mapping to access Delve content?
The honest answer here is that we believe that game systems like Delve will become boring if you have unlimited access to them, and so it's important to limit their access by requiring regular Path of Exile play between sessions of special content.
so you think people will be less bored of the game if you force them to play content they find boring instead of allowing them to play content they find interesting? Theres no part of that statement that makes you think "wait..."?
lol
So you think a player will play delve until they get bored of it, and instead of having the self awareness one would expect to find in a drunk rodent, they will just keep playing delve despite being bored of it and then decide poe is a boring game? You dont credit your players with enough basic intelligence to recognise when they are bored of one piece of content and switch to a different piece of content they are not bored of? We are that pathetic, thats how idiotic us players are, we cant even be trusted to know when we are bored and switch to a more currently interesting activity? You need to enforce that switch for us and dictate to us exactly how much access is enough to fill our individual desire for each piece of content?
"
The other factor that is Delve-specific is that rewards from Delve are strong, so it'd be an economic problem if people had more access.
so you made the rewards for delve too rewarding? why? What you are doing is taking people who find delve boring and making them feel like they have to play it because the rewards are too strong. You are actively bribing people who hate delve to play it by giving it too strong rewards. Because you have done this you are then using it as an excuse to stop people who really want to play delve from playing it.
that doesnt give you pause for thought? Nothing about that strikes you as completely retarded?
So people who find delve boring feel forced to play it, people who find delve really fun feel they cant play it, people who find mapping boring are forced to play it a lot, and this is you guys idea of how to stop players in poe being bored of content?
seriously?
pohx recently made a video about quitting poe for the moment because he just wants to map and he hates feeling pushed into this other content like delve. Ive quit playing poe because I find mapping completely boring and I just want to do stuff like delve. So we have both quit playing because of something you have put in place to make sure we dont get bored of content. Still not giving you pause for thought? Any penny dropping over there that maybe your ideas when it comes to trying to force players to play the exact content and amounts of it that YOU dictate is healthy via bribes and restrictions is actually very unhealthy for your game?
Some people will just play shaped strand for 100s of hours, and they will find that less boring than playing a variety of maps, they wills tick with your game longer if you let them do it. I know when I log in that day what content I find boring in that moment and what content I find engaging, I am quite capable as a human being of recognising which is which and playing the content that I want to play at that particular time. How much of a retard do you think I am that I wouldnt be able to make that distinction and do the thing that would be fun for me?
"
Having said that, Scarabs and other game mechanics can help you trade for more Delve time.
excuse my language but that sort of statement actually makes me bit angry, usually my posts are jovially spikey, but in this instance fuck your trade system, fuck spending 5+ hours a week of my life trading peanuts with people, fuck any access to content that is required to make your game feel worth playing being gated being trade, fuck trading for any access to content ever under any circumstances period. you wouldnt do it chris, you wouldnt waste the amount of your life required to be an active constant trader in this game in order to be able to play the game, dont require me to.
+1

Tbf, they talked about the Chinese realm Trade Market in the Trade Manifesto itself. They were likely made to include it when they partnered with Tencent for China. It doesn't seem to be something they ever liked or wanted. It's actually kinda ironic how everyone here and on Reddit are usually suspicious of Tencent and tend to blame them for many other changes GGG makes, but the number one change this community keeps bringing up (trade) is the one thing Tencent is definitely responsible for changing (in China). So who do you guys actually prefer developing the game then, Tencent or GGG?

Sometimes Tencent.
Sometimes GGG.
Both are dumb and smart in their own way after all.
GGG balance is like getting a pizza which is burnt on the sides, raw in the middle and misses the most of the toppings.
Then upon sending it back you get a raw side, burnt middle and enough toppings to drench everything in grease.
Everything fixed but still broken. Last edited by Kulze#3236 on May 3, 2019, 6:09:27 PM

Do the GGG developers actually play their own game ? That would have been an interesting question.
If we consider the obvious flaws in a lot of league mechanics I'd say they don't.

This thread made me have two different reactions:
First one: It was a good reaction to see they admiting they made a playable league, but not that good, which is exactly what synthesis league was.
Second one: A terrible reaction seeing they don't want to change trade system, so we will keep having the worst possible trade system, even 2000ish games have an advanced system.
