An Update from Chris

Thanks for the post man.
Im not sure exactly what the others are nagging about but everyone should be happy theres so many updates each year to POE, a lot more than most other games get. Also, there cant be a league every time that makes it into the standard game. And theres been a lot of good stuff already so.
I would probably have worked for free for you if i was living in NZ (hopefully not messing things up but at least i have a programming edu)

Awesome news from an awesome developer. You guys are top notch, no other game company on earth has as good of communication as you guys do. Keep it up!

This is why I support your game each league, even during the "bad" ones!

A big topic in the gaming industry recently is development crunch. Some studios make their teams work 14 hour days to pack every patch full of the most fixes and improvements possible. Sometimes when we read our own Patch Notes threads and community feedback, we feel that we are being asked to do the same. I will not run this company that way. While there's inevitably a bit of optional paid overtime near league releases, the vast majority of a Path of Exile development cycle has great work/life balance. This is necessary to keep our developers happy and healthy for the long-term, but it does mean that some game improvements will take a while to be made.
HIRE ME ON (See my support) I'd love to help!----------------------------------------------------------->

In all honesty this game has grown year by year. Back in 2.0 opening strongboxes on PC had lag and desync! Keep up the amazing work and I hope synthesis can come back just like bestiary got revamped!

wow look at the time, supporter pack o'clock
When I kill a man he stays dead.
Thank you for this clarification! While criticism for Synthesis is certainly warranted the tone is off in many cases.

I really appreciate the work you put into making Synthesis fun for me and hope for a smooth 3.7 (and Shield Charge)!

Yet another reason as to why I LOVE GGG. Chris, you are a great leader, and I for one appreciate the way that you lead your team, who has become your family. I respect the fact that you treat the people that you work with as family, not robots. Thank you for the transparency that you provide to this community (something that most companies have no clue what transparency even means). A good amount of the people in this community, that have been so brash, and outspoken, have no clue what kind of pressure that you are under, leading this team. I hope this goes to show everyone, what you have on your plate. God bless you Chris, and thank you for leading a great team of people, that made my favorite game of all time (seriously).

Why can't you simplify every other League?

Make a "thing" that spawns ColorX mobs in an area with a few special abilities that drop "things" that you can use or combine or craft. Add in some new skill gems and items and you have a League.

(might be good to schedule that league over Christmas)

Make your alternating League a "big thing"

Adding major functionality to the existing game could be a major part of a new league too, like, a "NotAnAuctionHouse_butSomethingelse League"

-or-

Adding a new type of armour or weapons or class of skills.

A Guild league, a revamped PvP league.

Lots of things can be added that flesh out the existing game instead of a giant leap of faith into the pit of eternal darkness.

Hell make a League to undo previous Leagues, ie. like a Ghostbuster League.

Good call Chris, this is how D3 ended up on the trash heap, and I loved that game when Reaper of Souls was released. I have taken a break with POE because of Synthesis(getting into Grim Dawn). However looking forward to 3.7, and have my ticket booked for ExileCon!
