What We're Working On
I cannot tell you how great it was to read when Synthesis league was ending, its very nice to see that announcement. This league is right near beastiary league in terms of absolute awfulness. The new changes to beastiary are enjoyable however.
If the syndicate lag thing carries over to the next league, I already promised myself I would be uninstalling Path of Exile. There is no way the lag should even be there to begin with, and if it is just going to persist, there is no reason to play this game anymore since the ability to introduce bugs that never existed in a preior league mechanic seem to outweigh the ability to fix them. I really do hope that the flaskback league will exclude Synthesis, and also that Synthesis will not go core and will be scrapped all together, this league has been absolutely terrible, with 80% of league players leaving before 1 month, thats bad.. bad bad bad bad. |

Any news on cross platform? Would really like to play this alongside my brother, however, he is on PS4. Keep it up GGG!

PLEASE MAKE THE CORTEX MEMORY SPAWN MORE. LIKE WAY MORE. FFS

Hello, I appreciate everything from GGG.
And in the most respectful way, I ask you to please not bring Synthesis into future leagues. Thank you |

" I have the great the idea of game development! To make happy all those speed runners which melts the content sooner that mobs can appear on the screen. Maybe GGG should finally design one-clik option to nuke the entire map and to kill everything? What a time saving solution! Then will be needed +1000% to the Movement Speed to quickly collect all drops. Obviously those annoying lovers of D2 hacking and slashing through hordes of more or less tough monsters will need to go away and stop to spam this venerable Forum with their pervert wishes. I would like to be able to play the league up until the beginning of the next one.
I don't like having only standard for a few days. |

I'm a casual player (2-5 hours/day) who only started playing this past January, so my opinion may have less weight than more established players, but I have trouble imagining Synthesis becoming a long term addition in its current form.
Gathering memory tiles will take a long time at normal NPC encounter rates, and they won't always be in the proper configuration to reach a worthwhile distant memory. The mechanics for synthesizing items are very opaque, and (as many have pointed out) trying to gather enough of the type/modifier combinations requires a prohibitive amount of stash space, not to mention the time required to do multiple efficient trips down memory lane. Though I've finished the main storyline, I haven't even reached any Synthesis bosses, so if this were a side quest I might play for a year without finding them. Also I'm not good at time limitations, so decaying memories are usually an exercise in painful disappointment. It certainly is a different mode of playing, which is cool, but overall I prefer the delve, which also offers flexibility in choosing difficulty and rewards, plus less of a time commitment. |

end league event .....
synthesis fail confirmed. learning is a painful process ... knowledge is the most deadly weapon.

" Nope. End Synthesis as early as possible! It WON'T be missed! in my dreams I see it: a league where melee is playable, a league that is about killing monsters and clearing tough content and not about crafting absurd mirror-tier items. Where average players like me can do anything the league has to offer, not like Synthesis or Betrayal where only the streamers and 'elites' have any access to high-tier crafting. I hope a crafting overhaul comes in 4.0, as there's so much fucked-up shit that doesn't belong in the same PoE that had fun leagues like Incursion, Abyss, Breach, Legacy or even Delve (which I didn't like, but many people had fun with.) If I could choose, Synthesis content would not make it into the core game. But neither would have Betrayal. And I think that would be better. One last thing... Betrayal intelligence decaying, forcing you to play every single day or else your safehouses go away, was an absolutely egregious mistake on the level of the engineering decisions that led to the Tacoma Narrows bridge collapsing. How could you have thought that was a good idea? I'm not doing anything around the start of the next league, so feel free to hire me as a QA tester. I won't hold back my criticism. |
