The entire trade balance meme vision this company has is beyond ridiculous, it's such a stupid hill to choose to die on.

Of course it is way more easy to hide behind rants than try to invalidate the reasons which GGG explained in detail in their manifestos.

I think they are very plausible and try to keep economy and player motivation to farm good equipment healthy, and this is what keeps the game alive for the majority of players (mostly the players which play the game and dont cry in forums).

In your words i can only hear the greed ...

Trade Manifesto Page 51, go ahead and have a read, there's several 'invalidations' presented by myself. Be free to read it, might take a while though.

It's a bad move from GGG not to recognize they have to put effort into making a working system for trading which is easy. They're loosing out on players, and a game is supposed to be fun, not frustrating. Trading though is frustrating, hence it's bad.

Also, I'm also explaining why the lack of a trading-system could actually be detrimental to the 'healthy' economy as other major factors already have a bigger effect on the in-game economy.

Also there's several descriptions about GGG moving against their own Manifesto, implementing several systems which actually enforce the named concerns, showing that either GGG isn't caring about their own Manifesto, it being only left in to calm down people, or that they're simply lacking in ability to see that economy isn't only changed via trading options.
GGG balance is like getting a pizza which is burnt on the sides, raw in the middle and misses the most of the toppings.
Then upon sending it back you get a raw side, burnt middle and enough toppings to drench everything in grease.
Everything fixed but still broken.
Hellgate: London had an trade by email system in the game that you could attach items/currency to a trade offer, the person receiving it could reply back at his convivence with an offer, then the originator could either accept the offer or post a counter offer etc.

Works.

You could also trade face-to-face like is done now.

That would also be a decent solution, not speeding up trading but providing a good option to receive items without pulling someone out of actual content. They can handle all of those in-between maps rather then wasting portals steadily.

I like it as an extra implementation, and it wouldn't be hard to do.

Also as a dedicated in-game message for long term - baffling PoE hasn't an internal messaging system besides chat actually - would be great to do that. Lets people organize their things better while also providing a fair bit of future solutions for several issues and socialization.
