+1 (GGG buy cross platform server support)
|
|
" Cross-platform support isn't something that can be bought. It's something that has to be negotiated; and Sony don't say "yes" easily. |
|
" It will be standard soon. Im not sure how soon but it will be. Microsoft and Sony negotiation about it atm. There we will see TrashBox games on PS4 and PS4 games on TrashBox. P.S.: Microsoft named it like that for that reason. You can fill "X" with anything you want. Sweet, right? |

Good morning,
I am a long time fan of POE and I really love it. I played over 1000 hours so far on Steam + old client (before steam). I have put in also a good amount of money into my account, which I really did without any doubt, since I totally love how you support your game and release new content. But since I had to sell my PC due to the fact that we get our first child born and there was no room anymore for my PC, I switched to PS4, so I will be able to keep on playing POE! But, I have read with, to be honest, big frustration, that you plan not to merge the account bound MTX to PS4. This is really the first time, I have to complain. Because the spent money is bound to my account. And in my case, I really spend over 200 or even 300 € and I feel bad about the fact that all my MTX is now worthless after the PS4 switch. I really hope you think about it because I think, there is big potential on PS4 side and only me knows a lot of people who switch now to PS4. But not beeing able to use my MTX is really a very very bad taste. Please make it possible to link the PS4 account to the POE account, so we can use our MTX. Thanks for reading and hopefully receiving a feedback soon. Best regards, Tim |

Tbh, linking the mtx from pc is probably just not an option from sony. I mean the only money sony can make is if you buy mtx in their store. If you could just buy stuff directly, why would they launch poe on their platform?
So this is most likely against the contract ggg will have with sony. Crossplay can be cool, like for example Final Fantasy 14, works fine, you can play PS4 and PC on the same servers and you dont even need PS plus, as FF is subscription based and I guess sony gets revenue from the subscription fee. Also the game is not on XBox. |

" Need some corrections. Sony is getting what game companies sell. Sony is not selling anything about specific games. So, companies are selling them, not Sony. Sony only get some cut and maintaining store (kinda like Steam). In other hand, companies are launching games on PS platform (coding, visuality etc etc), again not Sony. GGG can merge MTX. However, will be really painful to make a merge system. In short $/hour will not worth it. Its not need a crossplatform something. It can be done by database side without affecting PS system etc etc. |
|
" Well I think its a definition of "selling", if i go to a store, all products there are being sold by the store. But yeah I meant more they immediately take their cut if its processed in their system. And as far as I remember, I am getting an invoice from sony, not the game developer if I buy something, same on steam. What I could imagine is, they could offer a supporter pack for a link. So you can link your new ps4 account with on old pc account, lets say for 100$. This would give sony some cut, some money for the effort and would be worth it for all who have spend sooo much money on pc already. |

Btw, if it ends up like xbox, the overall workaround for many crashes is:
Turn off all your mtx, its crashing your game and that of all party members as soon they come close to you.... |

" You're totally incorrect here. Sony own the PS4, they own the Playstation Store and the Playstation Network. In order for a company like GGG to release a game on their console, the company has to agree to a long list of rules, terms and conditions set-out by Sony. Sony reserve the right to restrict or remove access to their console, store and network if companies do not follow the rules, terms and conditions. Certification is part of this. If Sony are not satisfied that your game contains no major problems that could undermine the safety or security of the console, store or network, or your game would break other rules of the service, then Sony will refuse to make your game available to it's players. Once a game is on the store it must follow the rules, terms and conditions at all times. Patches and content updates all need to be verified by Sony (which is why updates lag behind on console). Any MTX or DLC must be sold through the Playstation Store, where it can be properly monitored, recorded and tracked by Sony. Companies are not allowed to circumvent the Store using any method. Sony may allow MTX to be merged from other-system accounts, and they may allow cross-play with other systems, but these must be negotiated before they can be implemented. Even then, Sony have a track record of saying no in 99% of cases where these things are asked for. So besides asking Sony and likely getting a "no", it's not a thing GGG can do anything about. |
