POE camera is more zoomed out than even Diablo 3, comparison pictures.

Set default to semi-zooomed in, so then people start out zooming out and they would never had a clue about it.

Hardly. I zoomed out with the hotkey and the mwheel. I can zoom in fine. Zooming out stops at that specific point.
Getting hit from stuff you don't know if its up or down from where you are.

It's a weird world when people buying a new monitor and actually seeing a benefit from it is an "exploit".

Maybe we should lower everyone's framerate down to the lowest of anyone in the match to prevent any input or reaction time imbalances. Maybe GGG should run some invasive code to determine if you're using key-macro software. Actually why allow more than two buttons, or more than three buttons, on the mouse at all? Some people have them and some people don't. ADVANTAGE.

Personally I'd prefer all the "rawr pvp must be 100% fair" people realised that there is fundamentally no guarantee of fair competition unless you sit down in a local tournament setting with controlled hardware and software. Least of all in this genre, and this game: PvP matches will regularly (I dare say the vast majority of the time) occur between people whose characters are not the same level and where one has better gear then the other, but those imbalances don't rate a mention compared to apparent screenspace imbalances and other such things. It's absurd. If you want fair, organise a tournament, or play console games at the very least. Otherwise, leave the rest of us to our non-standard setups.

This.

In the end, the weight of having zoom out to everyone surpasses whatever imbalance concerns.
"It feels like holding my breath under water constantly." Me about the limited "life expectancy" of the inventory space on Path of Exile and frequent needs to go to town to unload.

There is no balance when I can just pay people to do stuff for me in a game.

So question. Who will pwn another in PvP?
So, I think there must be an option that makes cam zoom off, like in Sacred (first of course). And even without PvP the couse of this cam may be only myopia of my char. I can't even play without map turned on! FoV in smaller than one goatmen's jump. Zoom out and make max action distance is necessary imho.
And yeah, I will never change 4:3 monitor until i stop playing DOS games.
tbh, i'd prefer a zoomable and rotatable camera over a fixed one.
ARPG's tend to cheat with art giving a fixed perspective, d3 even, the other side of that wall or brick doesn't exist, there is no texture for it.

Therefore it would require an immense amount of work to give a free camera.

As it has been said, zoom needs a limit, where it is at right now is acceptable I believe.

I am aware of that, I wouldn't label it "immense" though.

Kinda BUMP!
Hot topic right now. Needs more zoom out.

More control skills to melee chars, "blink" skill to mages, zoom out with minus to attack to anyone without of range (and skill range indeed). and skill vendor with suck-gems. And narcology expert to me! Let's dance everyone!
